This is not actually "hilarious". she's basically having a panic attack. She isn't trying to be funny or anything, she's just trying to say thank you for the award she got. I can totally relate to that kind of stage fright that she has; the one where people have really high expectations on you and it makes you panic and act really anxious.
Most celebrities get used to everyone loving them and fans screaming to have their autograph until they basically think that they are different kind of human than normal people. Jennifer seems to be a normal person trapped in the world of fame. She seems like could be your neighbor or any kind of "normal person", and that's why I think she's so great.
I can relate too. The last time I had to say something in front of my whole school I messed up and I didn't know how to continue, I felt so bad and I started talking nonsense. It was one of the worst days of my life so far and people who weren't through something like this don't know that it really is horrible.
Josef I agree, she admitted that she has dealt with anxiety for most of her life.
This is still hands down my favorite Jennifer Lawrence speech. From the very beginning when she drops something at her table to the very end about the "Dancing with the Stars" bit...this is why I love you, J-Law.

This is by far the most Hilarious and Best Acceptance Speech Ever! Gosh she is so Funny and Adorable and Perfect! Most Natural Comedian! :D
She's awesome. What is so striking is that she has this natural brilliance as an actress coupled with social anxiety and awkwardness that seems so contradictory. The hyper way her mind is wired is why she can act so well, but it is a very unusual combination.
How can anybody not love this girl. I mean how many actors or actresses you do wanna hear and see just to see them screw something up and still be so cute and adorable. You can never get tired of hearing and watching Jlaw, she is really one of a kind.
Ohmygod she is beyond perfect.
she's the most genuine and upfront person and actress in this whole world.
I LOVE to watch her videos... they always make me laugh hard!
This is why I love her! She doesn't try to be perfect and isn't brainwashed by the industry to be a robot. She's real, in this industry that's a rare thing. Fame and money has gone to so many of their heads, but not hers.

She won several awards in comedy categories, both at the GG and at BFCA. Part of the reason critics loved her in the film is that it was the first time they really got to see if she could do comedy and she nailed it.
i feel like how she overcomes her fear and nervousness is by being so honest and herself with the audience and it sort of helps everyone sympathize with her and become closer with her. whatever is going through her mind she says. she is composed in an unusual way and how she carries herself is so admirable. she is my role model
