The atheist gentleman raised the topic of Farkhunda (a girl from Afghanistan brutally killed by a mob).
There were some people in a public place in Kabul that were doing things she considered haram/shirk, such as selling talismans. She spoke against it because she felt it was not in accordance with Islamic monotheism. As they had a commercial interest in continuing their business, they attacked her.
Since this was in a public place, someone started a rumour that she had blasphemed and that was why she was being attacked. The problem with rumours is that not many people check the facts before accepting them, so the naive/gullible public joined in the attack without seeking proof.
So this mob was of course not representing Islam. In fact they acted against Islam, because the sharia requires proof and evidence before someone can be found guilty of a crime, and no random person is authorised to mete out punishment; it has to be through proper authority like a court.
So this example that he raised is not a valid example of Islamic justice in action.
reminds me of how the prophets as were hunted and disliked because they told the polytheists to follow the one god Allah saw

unfortunately even if there was evidence it would most likely be suppressed. Men are in charge of the courts under taliban rule and all domestic violence claims are rejected even when witnesses come forward with proof. I just wish my Afghani brothers would be more empathetic towards our sisters.
@@imranak12 this actually happened in 2015 before the Taliban were in power. It was so traumatizing to watch some of the videos and sad to see her helplessness and how no one stopped to think about their actions. Some women were proudly saying how they punched her or kicked her (even though that was impossible because she was surrounded by men) before the truth was brought to light.

I've been following speakers corner for past 4years now. Alhamdulillah I've learnt a lot. I've been following brother Mohammed Ali on RUclips for past 3months when his video popped up. Mashallah brother Mohammed Ali is patient, calm and very precise. May Allah SWT greatly reward him and his family for his good deeds.
I like to use the alphabet as an example.
While reciting A to Z if someone skips or misses a letter we notice it instantly. Because we all have it engraved in our memories. Just like the Quran, no mistake in recitation will go unnoticed.
Masha Allah, brother Mohammed has such a calm approach.
A man who was extremely depressed and had a criminal record acted alone in my country committing a heinous crime in response to a psychological breakdown.
The news found out he had a muslim background and suddenly every news agency was saying 'Muslim did this', 'Muslim did that'.
Even though there was literally no evidence he was acting on religion. In fact, his actions were spontaneous (unplanned).
There’s over a billion Muslims and if we were all meant to act violent; then there would be tons of examples of us attacking innocents and causing havoc. It’s baseless and media propaganda.
Love listening to Muhammad Ali, he’s so soft spoken, polite and kind with his words. May Allah make him success and bless him!

So basically the miskina was accused of disrespecting the Quran which was a lie in fact she went to a magician in shrine to stop his shirk but because he was getting exposed and lose his business he accused her Subhan'Allah

In a country where there is so much lawlessness, a woman should avoid public places and prevent the haram practices through other means so that she would not endanger herself
I enjoyed listening to this brother. My advice is this in this video, this person keeping jumping from topic to topic and for example Covid-19 virus. It is best to focus on the main issues of Tauheed and convince him to accept Islam, rather follow him to several topics and reach no where at the end.

For the non muslims... the law for rape and adultry are different. The witnesses are required for adultry but for rape the same standard laws of the world can be applied like DNA evidence, CCTV... circumstantial etc... so don’t think u require four males to have witnessed the penetration.

4:52 four witness is not a requirement for rape.. rape is another category of sin (fassad fil arz) punishment for rape is death. if investigation and medical of the victim point to rape then 4 witness are not required. (ALLAH knows best)
True and I think we need to avoid this when discussing rape because it gives ammunition to the idea that a woman needs to prove her rape with 4 witnesses or be punished as an adulterer.

rape is a major sin in Islam. the person can ask for forgiveness! but asking for forgiveness is not guaranteed that they will be forgiven. It Is by Allah's Mercy that they would be forgiven. the justice system the courts would punish this person in this life. and he could still face punishment in the afterlife for the sin. Allahu alum.
By the way revelation came down over a period of 23 years as per incidents happening in the life of prophet , guidence sent by Allah for that incident.

Bro hazrat zaid bin sabith r.a compiled the Quran in the life of Holy prophet SAWW. The compiled book was with Hazrat Hafsa r.a. Hazrat Usman r.a placed ahrabs to protect the dialect. As meaning of some words were different for other parts of arabic speaking world.
*Allah's Mercy is above all things. However you cannot be careless or become irresponsible person in your life. Many including some born-muslims do not get this concept.*

روى البخاري (2652) ، ومسلم (2533) عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بن مسعود رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ( خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ أَقْوَامٌ تَسْبِقُ شَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ يَمِينَهُ، وَيَمِينُهُ شَهَادَتَهُ )

With all respect the brother , and it seems in some counties who claim to have shariah law , seem to think that the. Act or rape and adultery have the same criteria for proof . This is completely incorrect .
The crime of adultery is fornication between two consenting adults and if one or both are married to someone else . The 4 witnesses need to see the actual act and do not have to be male . The Quran Asaps witnesses not males . This making slander almost impossible . The husband can act as 4 witnesses and the wife as well . This will invoke The Liaan and the couple will be automatically divorced and the accused party can swear an oath and the. The punishment is only with Alllah . Allah is all merciful and this is to essentially protect women .
Rape is seperate crime . Accusations do not require the same 4 witnesses . But the Burden of proof is on the prosecution . There are three cards sited in the Hadith , one in Abu Dawood which is the most cited . If the burden of proof was that of adultery then no rapist will ever get convicted . Imam Malik said the rapist is to receive the hard punishment for Dina and the woman is to to be blamed .
We must not site the cultural interpretations of so called ‘Islamic’ countries but properly look at the sun shining and the rulings of the great scholars .
