i came across your channel from your video about the minolta talker. subscribed right away. you're yourself and you're pretty subtle with the silly stuff you say too lol. keep it up, man!
Nice video! I've got a Vitessa T, those old Voigtländer rangefinders are pretty awsome. What I don't have though is that turnit viewfinder, looks handy since I have three lenses for it. Btw, you weren't doing nothing, you were walking around on the beach, and making a video, and taking pictures, that's three things at the same time, impressive! 😀
I got 2½ of them and four lenses. One working Prominent II (with the huge finder and lever film advance), one working Prominent Ic (same as your but with a slightly bigger blue viewfinder with framelines from 35mm-100mm and lever film advance) and a broken one identical to yours. Solid cameras and fun to shoot with!
He thinks he got a pretty good price for that package. I would agree, as the various pieces added up are somewhere between $350 - 400. Voigtlander always excelled at making lenses. This was its fanciest and most expensive camera when new, and had the best lenses. Made from the early 1950s, it was updated in the later 1950s with a model II, which made a few technical changes and improved the viewfinder a bit, but looks very much the same. Very collectible.
Love voigtlander cameras! My first camera was a voigtlander vitomatic IIa with color skopar 50/2.8 lens and its one of my favorite cameras it never disappoints. Good video. I am pretty sure the "h" in bokeh is silent.
"Unknown cameras" is an interesting topic, but I think you totally deserve to be in an "unknown photography channels" video! This channel is so underrated, you deserve much more subscribers! Hope they'll come one day, keep up with the good work!
When the camera is called prominent, but actually it’s not ✌🏼nice video, I liked the images a lot and was really surprised by the quality of the lens. That external viewfinder looks pretty dope as well.
Karin Majoka 😂 yeah the name is Ironic.. Thanks! I’m a huge fan of this lens, I love how it renders colors and the external viewfinder is probably my favorite thing about this camera lol it makes me feel like I’m shooting a Leica
STOP putting background music to videos with *narration* .. it ONLY makes it HARDER to hear what you are saying and is VERY distracting ... EVERYONE STOP DOING THIS.. we are NOT here to listen to music !!

I agree, especially since his seem to be in very good shape and a fast shutter. Many need a service by now.

Fujixguru the viewfinder is probably the main reason I like this camera 😂
Good video! How do you meter with this camer?
I thought this is a nice looking camera at the beginning. But when you rotates that viewfinder? Totally blown me away. So cool.

Could you try next time Zorki 4K? It is $100 soviet camera, and I made nice photos with it. Now I am wondering, how nice they would be from you :)
Jan Šilar wow never heard of that camera before haha yeah it looks really cool I will definitely look into getting one 📷
@@KodakBoy older versions of Zorkis were remade into fake Leicas :D
Great video. Do you develop your colour film yourself?
Segzeeman thanks and yes I develop most of my film myself
Christmas comes early
Fredrick Zoller the question is......are you naughty or nice?
Okay that was a weird question 😐
Voightlander are famous in europe!
Saying the Prominent is unknown is like saying Mercedes cars are unknown.
Beautiful looking camera. Can you tell me the music please?
jodad thanks! As for the music, which part of the video are you referring to?
I Hate Photographers 😁😬 the music playing while you’re on the beach.
nikon fg20! if you find it...
