I recently tried my GTX 1070 (Not the Ti, just the regular version) in horizon forbidden west at 1080p medium settings. Using FSR3 Quality and framegen I got like 70 to 100FPS. The game both looked and felt nice. Incredible for a 2016 card.
@@Salsbytes-j6p No worries dude, great video. I'm looking at building a super budget PC build for my partner and a 1070 or 1070ti doesn't look too bad for £100 second hand you know.
The sun is starting to set on the 10 series. An awesome series with an epic run. I doubt Nvidia will ever give that longevity, performance and value ever again for a series of cards. They will still be awesome cards for "retro gaming".
Isn’t it sad that that we’re coming to an end with these awesome cards. The comments here show me how much everyone is still holding on with this cards, as they should!
been using GTX 750ti since 2013 and play only dota 2 , dark souls 1-3 and some few old games. recently I upgraded to RX 7800xt + Ryzen 7 7800x3d + 140hz 1440p monitor. experience is alot better. I was able to play the games that I always wanted to. starting from rise of the tomb raider. then Elden ring. god of war. etc etc. could run upto 120 fps at ultra. (except elden ring its stuck at 60fps for some reason)
ive got mine this year (Last Year 2024) Brand New GTX 1660 Ti and lucky to get a Memory Lottery (maybe Silicon Lottery also ) its Running at 14000 Mhz instead of 12000 Mhz , i Overclock the Memory at 15000 Mhz and Set the Power Limit at 90%. i have same Performance as GTX 1070 Ti , maybe because the Drivers more Favor the Turing than the Pascal.
Depends on your requirements! If you’re used to this then it won’t be a big deal, but if you go from a high end card back down then it’s going to feel like shit. It’s the same with higher hz monitors and lower hz.. If you don’t know, don’t fix it.
My wife's PC is a i7 3370K /w 32GB of RAM and a GTX 1070. She watches videos, browses the web and does VERY light gaming (Rayman, etc). She's keeping that GTX 1070 until it's unsupported/dies lol. That was my first Nvidia card coming from ATi Radeon stuff. It probably needs a repasting, but she doesn't push it hard at all, so I just keep the dust bunnies out of it for now. I bet if you repasted that card, did a follow up vid with the new paste, you would get moar frames for sure.
I'm still rocking an i5 9600KF, ROG Strix 1070 Ti, and 32 gigs of RAM at 3200 mhz. I play CS2, Marvel Rivals, Sea of Thieves, Rocket League, Resident Evil games etc. All well above 60 fps at 1080p with high settings, excluding FPS games like CS2 where I get a couple hundred FPS give/take as you lower the settings on them anyway for better performance. Plus I use my Quest 2 with the link cable and still am happy as ever with it. For Marvel Rivals, you can get a serious boost by using this guide here: ruclips.net/video/OoYcBTE37DE/видео.html The game will look absolutely amazing and run well over 100 fps. I am perfectly happy with my setup, even after 7 years, and will keep it around as long as there's support for it. I will say that I am building an entirely new PC in a couple weeks as I feel that it is just "time" to upgrade, and this PC will probably go into my living room. But it is still impressive in my opinion how well this era of hardware is still perfectly usable for most people still today. Great video! Keep em' coming, brutha! Liked and subscribed!
Dude that is impressive you get that performance and you use that cpu and graphic card combo with quest 2. What parts you thinking about upgrading too?
@@Salsbytes-j6p Don't be afraid of Radeon. With AFMF2 I get 120 FPS in cyberpunk with ray tracing ultra. I went from a 1070 to a 7900xt with no regrets.

Oh yeah dude it think it’s a solid choice for that price! That or a 1660ti if you can get cheaper, it gets similar performance

1070 ti is one of my favorite GPUs... great value, great performance. still have two
You got two? You gotta keep them they will be collectors items in the future 😂
@Salsbytes-j6p haha 100%
My old system was a 8700k 32gb ram w/ a 1080ti ftw 3, roomate is gaming on it everyday. The 10 series was outstanding.
Dude I had that exact system for years, just only with the 8700 non k lol. That system was built like a tank!
I noticed in the video that you left motion blur at 100%, normally gamers turn of motion blur completely
Yeah im part of that 1% that likes motion blur haha

How’s that card holding up still?
@Salsbytes-j6p 🙂 for my older GOG games its basically a forever card, i pu three of them, they are pretty cheap now $40 shipped
I mean it beats 1050ti so depending what you play its still usable

Absolutely I agree! It’s cool playing games with high fps but I can definitely play certain games at like 30-40 fps

Something seems to be happening with GPU usage if we look at GPU power consumption
I was wondering why it was always going past 100 watts
