I find they have what I would call a sucked out midrange. But see I've been listening to Hexa and Red. The Artti has noticeably more resolution. It's just fun to spend this little and get another flavor.

Picked a set of these off of AliEx for $50, delivered. Still scratching my head as to why these are priced at levels far below their performance. No complaints...it's one hell of a deal!
Get these and you can pretty much stop and focus investments on accessories (wireless, DAC/Amps, etc.) and quality content! They are really that good!

    Interesting IEM, Akros!
    Thank you for the review!
Much appreciate the consistency of your efforts and the amount of passion you put into your review videos.
I come to IEMs from a self-recording musician’s perspective. I find your opinions and observations on most IEMs quite sensible.
Hope more people watch and recognise your work.
    Good luck, my friend.

An excellent review. Definitely one of the most objective reviewers, and a trusted reviewer. I do have the T10, it was not an immediate buy cos its definitely NOT a budget IEM, and my thoughts are: Wide, Slightly Dark, Brilliant, Smooth. Acoustic.
This is the most enjoyable and accurate IEM I have ever heard. If you put in the work, it provides such a realistic and analytical result, and even things like listening to RUclips videos, is so much more articulate and enjoyable, and intelligible, with this IEM. Highly recommended.
    Pros :
    1. Smooth and Extended Top End.
    2. Very good transients
    3. A bass region that is unforgettable - You get an exaggerated sense of cues like room reverb/artificial reverb, in a recording. GIves you the impression that you have a subwoofer in place - not overdone, a tight sub bass sound. (but it does not add bass, only emphasizes the bass in the audio, only if there is bass.)
    4. Accurate High frequencies - same thing, emphasizes them only if they exist in the audio, making them immediately audible, If they are there, you will hear them, with ease, and you will hear treble that will surprise you - like wow - is this how treble is supposed to sound? But only if its there. It is like an analytical tool, show you what is there, in a way that other IEMs may not.
    5. Excellent transitions, from bass to mids, to highs. Everything sounds cohesive and organic, and non fatiguing.
    6. Very Accurate and True, it shows you what is in the audio, and some music you revered my be exposed as not exactly as fantastic as you remember, and others will become even more fantastic as their better quality of recording and production/mastering is revealed. Good resolution, without getting into fatiguing territory. Solid Presentation. Many things which sounded brighter on another IEM, just sound so much smoother on this, the mid bass and mids are so seamless, natural, and nothing sticks out, in the entire frequency range, in other words this does very little to colour the audio. Sounds like a well tuned, bass solid, mids solid, and non fatiguing high end. Makes you appreciate the huge difference between tracks by different artists, and different tracks on the same album.
    7. Very sensitive to volume. While it does very well at low volumes, for ambient listening in the background, it encourages you to volume match every track, manually, to bring each track to the a similar listening level, to get the best from it. This is not for the casual listener., This is for an accomplished listener who knows about the Fletcher Munsen hearing phenomena.
    8. Great soundstage - Left to Right.
    9. Amazing layering - of near and far instruments.
    10. Positioning - easy to pinpoint where in the stereo field everything is.
    11. Excellent value for money
    12. Intimate - seemingly more accurate rendition of vocals. Very easy to hear what the singer is saying. e.g in rap vocals and all vocals.
    13. Great separation of every element in the mix.
    14. Superb Dynamics - things jump out at you, and surprise you. Lively.
    15. Comes with excellent case and packaging
    16. Comes with a really good looking cable, that should last another 500 years, and remain intact.
    17. Looks like an IEM that will retain all of its original cosmetic quality, for the next 50 years
    18. Sounds great from the get go, needs some burn in, sounds even better, with a bit of EQ to correct any minor excesses, gets even better. Takes to EQ very well.
    19. An IEM you can listen to for hours and hours, once you get used to it.
    20. If there is any harshness, its from the recording! not this IEM, which only portrays what is there. But it will show you every flaw, very accurate, do not buy unless you want to hear the truth. This is the real Truth Hear. Unfortunately it shows you which labels have gone the extra mile with their recordings and mixing and mastering, so a lot of good music, will not sound as good as we think it should, cos not enough effort has been put into the recording and mixing.!! Music still sounds great, but this IEM separates the men from the boys.
21 This is the kind of IEM that will force you to upgrade your listening sources, so you can hear the best version of each track you listen to. Differences between different editions of tracks on streaming media are revealed starkly.
    22. This is the IEM for anyone wanting to move forward from the budget sub $30 category, without spending a fortune. Sound as good as IEM;s in the $100 to $200 range. A bargain, if you buy on sale.
    Cons
    1. Some may not like the look
    2. Insufficient number and style of tips that come with the IEM, I had to use the tips that came with another IEM, to get a good fit
    3. Very Very sensitive to sealing, insertion depth, and any lack of sealing. This IEM needs to be properly sealed.
    4. Its nozzle is a bt short and also a bit larger than other IEM's so the shell tends to be right against the outer ear, which may take a bit of getting used to. Initial soreness, from the cable behind the ears, the need to have a good nozzle seal, and the shell rubbing against the outer ear, caused some initial soreness.
    5. Getting this to sound right, is a delicate dance between choice of ear tips, placement i.e insertion depth, and volume/level management. Every slight change in any of these has a discernible impact on what you are hearing. Every millimeter change in size of ear tips or insertion depth and every dB or half dB change in volume, is immediately apparent. This is NOT an IEM for newbies, but anyone who will take the time to learn how to get it sounding its best, will be rewarded with the most engaging immersive, enjoyable music, that makes you want to listen to your favourite well produced music, over and over and over again. You MUST invest the time to EQ it properly, to extrude the best from it.
    6. Having said all that, this has a fantastic balance of everything you need, but does not stray too much in any direction. So it needs a user who is patient to learn what natural sound is like, if you are transitioning from V shaped, Bright Etymotic style, or Bass Head presentation, This has a slight V, with emphasis on the Bass - but clean bass - NOT Bass like Beats by Dr Dre. This will be an education in listening, cos you will hear many things, you have never heard before, the separation will take a while to get used to. I think it will take about a month, to fully appreciate what is on offer here. It reminds me of old Hi fi speakers and how you need to put a bit of effort into placing them properly in the room, and set them up properly. This is the same. Takes effort to setup, but once that is done after about a week or two of gradual changes, you arrive at a place that is unique to this IEM - great accurate, non fatiguing and True sound, seamless connection, life like, from Bass to Treble, very cohesive, and natural sounding.
    7. A lot of music will sound a bit dull and bland, and not as spectacular as when you heard them on other IEM's. But this IEM brings you closer to whatever the TRUTH is., with a definite emphasis on the bass. How some could want more bass than this, is mind blowing, This IEM does not lack in bass, in any way. Timing inaccuracies, frequency imbalances, room reverb in spoken word videos on RUclips, this IEM will reveal everything, more than many other IEMs.
    8. Easy to insert them too deep, and it becomes a bit too bassy.

    • @someoneusa

@@okay1904 great post! Agree with almost everything except the top much bass with deep insertion. Lol. I get them as deep as possible to get as much bass as poaaibme. The shell looks very much like the LETSHUOER D13, which makes sense since Artti is their other brand. I have the S12 and after a year or so, I modded it ( Shortbus style ). The fact that T10 has rumbly sub-bass out of the box is commendable, not many planars do that.

It's really nice the way it's tuned but I went ahead and eqD it to Michael Bruce's Dick Magician (by eyeing Paul Wasabis squig graph) and ZEX. Played around with a few different versions til I found a few tunings that made my ears happy. All I have to say is WOW! This IEM already has a good bass but there is definitely magic happening with the mid bass hump/arc. It thickens up the bass and makes the male vocals sound more on point with all the airiness and details still shining. I love my sub base so I'm still trying to wrap my head around the hump actually making the sub bass come alive. I love EQ but I'm total amateur level, no fancy software, just using squig and wavelet. Haven't even tip rolled for the new tune or hooked up the amp yet and it sounds amazing! I listen on G7 Thinq with quad dac.

This video came with great timing, friend!
My S12 broke one of the sides several months ago (and ripped the internal flat cable, so no glue could fix it, and I was unable to solder it back). Speaking with Letshuoer they offered me a bit of discount for getting the earpieces alone (nmo cabe nor case) but for me the price wasn't attractive because I'm short on money these times and it was close to retail price anyway, so I didn't bought the replacement.
I've heard this problem with S12 was quite common, but for most guys it just got apart the shell and could be easily glued back together, but I wasn't that luck and my S12 is retired sadly. 😥
I'm still using the GD3A you recommended and absolutely love that, but it can't scratch my planar itch, because I also loved the S12. Do you think it's a worthy replacement or at least a good stop gap before going to my next planar? The video sheds some light but I want to confirm with some degree of specificity if you don't mind. I was thinking in buying second hand all this time from some of the guys here (preferably the S12 Pro hasn't this problem anymore), but I won't fire the shot until I'm 100% certain.
BTW, graet video as always. Thanks for your wotk!

It seems to me like the p1 max was another case of community politics playing a role.
Certain creators would have you believe that tin has forgotten who their real fans are.
Can you speak a little more toward the soundstage and imaging the t10 has?
Thanks for all your hard work Toni!

The shell seems to have the exact same design as the d13's from letshuoer. different material and colour but same shell design. In terms of sound how does this compare to the hidizs mp145? it seems to have a similar tonality... Do think tip rolling can highlight the upper range a bit better and increase the perceived detail/ resolution?

    • @jb678901
      @jb678901 6 месяцев назад

I own both. If you can wear the larger MP145's...and they are quite large...the quality materials are in another class. Sound wise...at the same level...it's pure preference at that point; we are talking about fine tuning differences across the spectrum. However, in terms of comfort, fitment...the T10's are a no brainer.

Dioko is too thin sounding by comparison.
It's detailed and has great mid and treble but bass is too light making sound clinical
T10 has more organic sound....more fun!

Interesting indeed. Just like all the interesting coincidences with the Clear, D1 and there's a 3rd one out there too, KATACCO. Same cable, red accented faceplate on resin body, even less $ than D1. I've been wanting a planar but had the EA500 in mind for Christmas. Now thinking perhaps I'll get this and EW100p which I can get for about $10. I've already got a ton of great cables looking for a buddy. I have a good variety of l IEMS now but no planar. $100 budget... And yeah its ugly, but I'm thinking I could customize my set with a few coats of paint?! Or I can keep my eyes out for the EW200 and P1max during the 11/11 sales. Much better aesthetically, looks the part as you say!
    Thoughts?
BTW- I can't believe you don't have 5k yet! You give the most passionate, honest, detailed reviews with no bs or hype. Hope to see 100k in your future :)

Picked it up on the current sale, stacking offers for $36. Got the Katacco for $20 which is what THEY ell the cable for! Hopefully they are the same as D1 like everyone is saying. I think the EA500 is on the back burner until next year. These are my Christmas IEMs. Looks loek 11/11 will be for my friend, mine came early.

    • @akros9333
      @akros9333  8 месяцев назад

P1MAX was subject to a slight tuning change.... making it more like the T10.
This was done already sometime ago so probably if you get a new P1MAX you won't get the initial note neutral tuning.

I was interested in these, and looks like a great value (especially since kz has absolutely pissed away their pr2 with the tuning redesign) but I was hoping they would be easier to drive. I'm looking for an ~$80-180 set to pair with my rinkos that will be relatively easy to drive when I just want to run them off my phone's dongle or when plugged into my steam deck or laptop. I love my 7hz diokos but they're just a hair too difficult to drive.
