AMEN! First encounter with an organ was watching somebody play on a 3/36 church instrument as a kid, where I watched two-feet pedalling every Sunday. When I first saw a spinet electronic, my first thought was, "I sure hope my parents aren't going to get me one of those," although I needn't have worried. They were both European immigrants and as such getting any kind of an organ was out of the financial question. I was lucky to have been given an old upright piano back in those days. Didn't get my first Hammond until I was 19, and paid for it out of my earnings from a PT job. It was a used model BC with 25 pedals, no percussion and tremulant instead of vibrato. Later on, I bought a used M spinet, and the first thing I did with that was to remove the vibrato switch, linebox and scanner and install them in the BC, along with the M's preamplifier because if you've ever encountered Hammond's early tremulant, you'll find that it's pretty terrible sounding.
Love these videos
as usual very interesting stuff.
You can learn a lot from church organists who use both feet, and also play with toes and heels.
