My husband just retired at 80 years old in August. He worked construction and made very good money.

Can you please confirm - if I am still working at 65 with employer healthcare, I need to return the card indicating I do not want part B. But I do need to sign up for a part D plan, even if I have employer healthcare that includes prescriptions.

If you have insurance through your employer and wish to keep that in favor of Medicare, please follow the instructions on the back of the card and send it back. With regards to Part D, if your current employer health plan offers creditable prescription drug coverage there is no need to sign up for a Part D plan at this time. Thank you for the excellent question!
