@@sureshots8155 Being from muscle shoals Alabama and Hank came to help hall of fame (on hwy 72) and my bf at the time was a sound technician for local guy. Mike said he had me back stage passes and blah blah and was going to record it for me. In 03 that was a big deal. Mike said he was only going because of getting paid. Keep in mind mind was into rock and figured Hank would be a sleepy concert. As opening band left I was forced off stage, I walked around and Hank was coming on as I was helped off. Hank saw me trying to shake his hand and literally yelled, Hank stepped between the huge guys and shook my hand. Later on I left cause I had seen Hank many times and when he tossed the mic down he's gone. Next day or mike brought me the vhs tape and I asked what he thought of the no talent country guy Hank. Mike who could play well said he was surprised by Hank on the strat but when Hank took the fiddle out and played it like he did he realized he was probably the most talented musician he had ever seen! Mike lived in Memphis prior and had worked every rock musician u could name!

Hank Jr.'s live sound is worse than Jimmi Hendrix's. As good of musicians as these two are and were. It puzzles me to try and wonder what they are thinking before, during, and after their live performances. With the songs all almost sounding totally different than they do on their original studio recordings.
I know the people in attendance are all, at least 5/8's under the influence of something good. But this shouldn't effect their ears. Their interpretation of the sounds they hear. Idk what they're thinking. But this isn't their best possible results.

I believe one of the things that makes Hank one of the best performers ever is that he changes up his songs and the live performances don't sound like the studio album. I actually prefer to listen to the live version of many songs instead of the album cut. Take Family Tradition for example, he has mixed that song up so much that's it's totally different from the original in verses. Too many artists want to just stand in front of the mic and sing the same ole song like it is on their album. Be glad Hank puts some energy and spontaneity into his performances.

@@LoneW0lfe This is true. And I agree with all you're saying. The only thing that's not agreeable (in my opinion).
This is that great musicians or singers doesn't have to move around the stage, or venues while singing. To put on a great show and entertain a crowd or viewers. Or to exhibit their talents. Just take Ronnie Van Zant for an example. He never moved out of the front of a microphone, while singing a song. He just stood there while using his facial muscularity and vocalization abilities to express his feelings and emotions. In every song he sang, in front of an audience.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and opinions, by the way. To disengaging with your colleagues or peers is unnatural, unhealthy, and even self-destructive. Especially considering the large amount of potential information that could be learned by someone. Just through socially engaging in conversational communication. No matter what you may find yourself doing, where you are, or who('s) surrounding you and engaging In your shared conversations.
People are truly messed up these days also. So, you can't just talk to just anyone. These are factors we all should always keep in mind. While talking to people are we're not too familiar with. I won't always agree with people's opinions. But people and their opinions are very important. Both to myself and everyone who can communicate. Whether folks realised this or not. Ignorance is somewhat a form or shame. It can be self-inflicted. But anyone who's good people with a brain, should want to converse with like-minded individuals. Whether you agree or disagree. To do anything any other way is a shameful practice and can be critically harmful to yourself and the people who you find yourself surrounded by. It could also effect families for many future generations to come. The world and it's people are changing at a rapid rate. People are literally worsening by the day. Jesus should be coming very soon, I would think.
Thank you for your nice reply .
      God bless!

Scott Cain ehhhh.. Hank has always been impromptu.. I’m a huge fan of Hank Jr but can’t stand a lot of live stuff.. he quickly makes up the changes as he goes and to be honest, a lot of it sounds hokey...like really? You got all hyped up and just started spouting lyrics and struggled to get it all together for the next verse...
