Geez Doc that was such a good watch, thanks. Great finds...that had to be a blast. Growing up in the 60's Rat Fink was everywhere so that brought back memories...and all those records were so cool, but those OG Blue Notes...MERCY
It’s definitely worth a visit for a serious collector. Prices not cheap but the selection is remarkable…tell Rich I sent you and you need the 20% discount. And don’t back down!
I liked the video 😊 You missed a perfect opportunity when you got back home and stated I just got back from Vegas. But you left out and boy are my arms tired. Rimshot.
Hi Robert. I was in Wax Trax a couple of months ago. It’s the kind of place that you could spend days in. I actually made a short video showing some of the soul records that were there. Incredible stock but breathtaking prices. I was pleased with what I picked up but I’d have loved to have bought much more. Best get saving…. The Ruth Brown and Baby Washington records you took home are lovely 👌
I go there every year when I have to go to Vegas for a work conference. I've found it works best for me to go in with a very specific want list where I know the value, otherwise you can be in for quite a shock when they price them at the front. The first time I went, I had to put a bunch of records back :). That place is amazing though and they're great people. Very kind of you to advocate for the kid getting the discount on his next visit. The answer was pretty obvious for us older guys but maybe not so much for a teenager
Yes, the prices are not a bargain. I have put records back every time I'm there. The condition and the rarity are what make it special. You're right, the young man deserved a discount! 🤣
I am picturing a Remake of I-Spy with Mazzy and the good Doctor traveling from Record store to record store uncovering thrush and saving the world. Of course while buying vinyl.
Pros: best selection I’ve ever seen. Cons: dubious pricing methods. I’ve over paid there and when I’m lucky he’ll price at true market value. If you’re not used to the high end /rare lp trading world you’ll definitely be in for some sticker shock. Still love it and still gonna go.
Your next video should be a pajama party with Mazzy and Coffee Dave. Love wax trax. Wish I would have known about him when I was in Vegas a few years ago. Enjoyed the video as always.
@Doctore_Robert Saw them 1998 in a small Germen vanue. Did not know them really before. They played lots of SF Sorrow and Parachute (get it if not yet in your posession) and stuff throughout their career. Mind-blowing.
Man, if you could only make more videos. You buy rare Albums especially rare or hard to find R&B Records. Some of which I did't know existed like the Baby Washington Album. There is an early Motown Gospel Album that came out around 62 or 63 that Ive never seen anywhere. I have 4 out 9 of the Motown Jazz records though, 2 of them are in the shrink. Extremely hard to find. They are on the Workshop Jazz Records subsidirary of Motown Records of course.

Yeah those were a find!
Thanks for the video- I am going to Vegas next week for my son’s soccer tournament. I hope to find time to visit this store

@@Doctore_RobertI got 10 quad records at his place. Definitely interesting pricing approach…
Great video. Been there many times. It’s an experience!
It really is!
What a cool place. Holy crap. I’d be there for 60 years
Holy crap, I need to go to this store! A diggers paradise.
It's worth an afternoon. Be prepared for the prices if you go!
I love the old school record shop owners
Rich is definitely old school…
Great video one day if I go to Vegas I got to go
It's worth a visit!
Hi Doc, been to Wax Trax several times over the last 20 years. Crazy digging and selection. Prices a little rough. That Rat Fink album is cool.
Thanks Kimbo! Agree it is not cheap!
I liked the video 😊
You missed a perfect opportunity when you got back home and stated I just got back from Vegas. But you left out and boy are my arms tired. Rimshot.
Yeah that would have worked well... 😂

Thank you! You are highlighting a consistent theme from those that know the place! 😜

I like your thinking...

All fair! He does listen if you stand your ground though. And not everything is mint. Needs some careful inspection!
All fair points! And condition not always NM! Buyer beware. But the selection is amazing!

Ha ha ha! Will take it under advisement!
The Pretty Things looks awesome. Cheers from Germany Klaus
Thanks man!

Sounds very cool! Looking for parachute…

You’re over my head there. Don’t know that label, will look for them!
