The quality and fidelity of the Klipsch is so tangible you could reach and pluck those sweet sound waves through the air…and I bet they taste like freshly baked cinnamon rolls. In the Skunk Lips song, the guitar strums and vocals have so much richness to them while hearing from the Detroit compared to the Extreme. Honestly I am super impressed. Was looking up for comparisons between the Marshall Middleton and Charge 5, then I discovered your video of the Detroit vs Charge 5. I’m pretty much sold on the Detroit already, but would love to see it compared to the Middleton. Thank you for putting in the work and uploading these sound tests.
Thanks for watching and for your comment! I Just got the Willen and Emberton in hand and should have a video on those shortly. The Middleton should follow soon after. Make sure you're subscribed to be the first to know when it's live!! :)
This is awesome effort! Good job bro, to me Klipsch is the clear winner even though it sounds a bit muffled but it has really good high's and a good reproduction of the audio.
Klipsch is better. I have both. Hands down the Klipsch is leagues ahead. The Jbl is way too bright and way too much midbass. Even when taking it to the equalizer it doesn’t do much. I would write klipsch speaker sound of 9.5 out of 10 and the Jbl six out of 10. In person there is no contest
klipsch nashville or detroit?? which speaker is more worthwhile in terms of sound quality? The Detroit speaker is quite large, but is it worth it? Is there a noticeable difference in sound quality?
@@tonyvela7321 I've watched other videos about the Klipsch Detroit, but in some of them, the high frequencies don't seem very clear, and the sound feels muddy
Really enjoying the comparison videos in your channel. There is a another brand that I am curious about in your reviews. Marshall, I've seen some portable speakers I was looking at and wanted to know your take. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for watching and for your comment! I've heard a lot about the marahall lineup and have had a lot of requests there. Will hopefully be able to dive into them soon!
I was surprised to see the Detroit score 4 out of 5 in sound quality in Consumer Reports. Most of portable speakers tested at CR score 3/5 like the Extreme 3 (and 4).
Thanks for watching! Yeah, the thing sounds great. Have you heard it and aren't a fan or are you just surprised as, its a tough accomplishment for a portable?
i have a question for a video could you put up two Nashvilles vs 1 Detroit. because i’m on the fence. should i get a det or should i get two nashvilles 🤓
Thanks for watching! Would love to do that. Possibly 2 Austin's vs nashville as well and see how that goes. I've seen a ton of requests for comparing to the marshall line though so, I think we're gonna start there and circle back around to doubles later. Subscribe and stay tuned!
I'm a subscriber, and I try to catch all of your reviews. That being said, what the hell are you listening to? I used to be a lead tech for the biggest AV company in the world. I never left a job without testing the sound with some Steely Dan or some Pink Floyd. Something that will test the dynamic range. Just saying. Keep at it 💪
Thanks for watching this and all of them! I really appreciate it. The song choices are not my personal preferences but, the best blend I could come up with without getting into copyright issues. Off camera/for the side by side review ones, I listen to a bit of everything.
Not at all! No more than the rest of them anyways lol. Thing I get tired of more than anything when editing/watching over and over is hearing my own voice. Has the channel pushed any traffic your way at all? Would be awesome if it did!
Pure and natural sound is boring… it seems that Klipsh has not yet learned to reconcile sound quality with fun. Harman/k, JBL, BOSE, etc know how to make portable speakers to sound as they should.
Personally, I like a speaker that doesn't alter the artists intentions. It's up to the artists and studio to create something that's not boring and make it awesome. The speakers job is to reproduce the sound given, not to alter it. That said, peoples opinions differ in the things they like. If you want more color than what the artists provided, both speakers offer an app to EQ so, win win!

And your thoughts.
Thanks and thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching and for your insight! It's always great to have more perspectives join in on the conversation as, listening is so subjective!
I have the JBL, and want to get the Detroit. It sounds better just from this video alone.

@@Musou01 Detroit. No contest. But the size while big is not that bad due to its boxing design. Vocals are really clean on the Detroit.

@@AudioInsideScoop Just read it! 🤘
Take a listen sometime! Feel like it earns any high marks it gets. :)
Can you do a Detroit vs Groove XXL
Would love to! Have had a few requests for this and will hopefully be able to get one in soon!
Klipsch has a good deal on them too, $199 instead of the retail $349 right now
Thanks for the heads up! May be the time to buy then!

Sounds good. Would be happy to hear your thoughts!

They sound quite different.
They do! Very different.
You must be getting sick of track 5 by now 😂

Detroit seems too bright.
Thanks for watching and for your input! Have you had the opportunity to listen in person?
Not yet. But from the video I hear it is brighter than the extreme on high volume.
