My heart and soul is with you Rabbi. I have never taken revenge on anyone who have hurt me, I just walk away from them for ever. My faith is my Creator, Giver of life. My hope is in him.
Revenge can be justified. Killing someone who brutally murdered someone else unjustly isn't evil by any means.
I agree that it is not evil but the question is why are you doing this revenge. Are you killing him to even a score, make sure you are not labeled a weak person, uphold your or your families name or are you simply just paying someone the consequences for his bad actions. There's a big difference and most of the time by far people take revenge for the former reasons. This is why the bible is clear not to take revenge but is also clear you could punish for wrongdoing.
The other question is how does taking this revenge affect your soul? Does killing this person bring back the people they slaughtered? Does it bring Peace to you? I read a story of a Holocaust survivor who had a 100th birthday celebration in Israel and he had over 100 descendants with him..
I get more from these simple short teachings than I ever got from a yelling evangelical preacher.
When I hear these stories of survival, I feel I can go forward in this world! Love one another we are all related.
Their is a God and in the midst of oppression He is still God, He cries for His people and all people. Stand strong.
Very wise words of the Rabbi not to trust in the money/Dollar,👍 but in God⚘.
The Chief Rabbi of Israel, but prior the Chief Rabbi of Tel-Aviv and prior to that the Chief Rabbi of Netanya, Israel. A remarkable human being.
