Excerpt from "Pied Piper"

When we lived in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, local teens were fans of my music... mostly because Aerosmith was touring with my friend Bruce Och on keyboards who was using many of my synthesizer patches. One teen's mom jokingly called me "The Pied Piper from Hell." She even put that on a birthday cake she made for me! I was heavily influenced by Kitaro at the time so, when I wrote a huge electronic piece and called it "Pied Piper," there was a distinct Japanese influence, especially in the beginning.
This was the first half of that piece before it started 'rocking out.'
