@@theassening4563 for sure, it's a hurdle to get into the game since it's basically required for the speedrun unless you improvise some much slower route, though with practice you can get it up to about 50% consistency in my experience, it just takes really long before you're able to get it in the first place
Was this run done on a downpatched version? I'm trying to get the rocket launcher early in a new save just for fun, and it seems like the shotgun isn't giving me as much knockback as in this run. Edit: Never mind, the boosts before the actual jump are just really, really tight to get.
No, it was done on the 1.0.14 update which I believe is still current, but the trick is very difficult. It took me several hours to get it the first time, though now my consistency is like 50/50. Most likely it just feels like you get less distance from the shotgun because you're further down from not getting as much height from the jump
@@xxfillex Yeah, you really need to get a lot of boosts before the jump in order to make it. Right after I posted the comment I made the first jump. XD
