without spoiler, the summary of the story is that kagome, the girl in uniform falls into the well in her garden and finds herself in a world where humans and demons live together. she will meet inuyasha the guy with dog ears who is half human half demon and they will go in search of a sacred pearl destroyed in many pieces. funny thing, the anime is not really an isekai because kagome can go home whenever she wants. so there are moments in the real world and in the fantasy world.
23:47 lol hate to do this to you but the little dude your talking about was never shown with inuyasha. He and Rin(the little girl) belong to a different group Also, the endings are even better than the openings imo
Oh Luke, you forgot to see the Kanketsu-hen or "Final arc" opening. InuYasha is pretty dope, has some really tragic moments and arcs but overall a happy anime with a nice story arc for every character specially InuYasha's brother
Please upvote this so Luke can see it. The final arc's opening is tied with opening 3 as the number 1 Inuyasha opening on my list, the song is so good!
I really do miss *InuYasha* 😭 *Rumiko Takahashi* single handedly created 100s of troupes we see now in Shounen RomComs & Ecchi anime, back when female Mangakas were used to be stereotyped for only writing Shoujo & Horror Mangas, She was one of the few who created tons of Classics for the Shounen Demographics from *InuYasha* to *Urusei Yatsura* to *Ranma 1/2,* all of them really do revolutionaries the RomCom genre in Shounen Magazines with their Supernatural touch & she'll always be one of the GOATs in the scene 🛐
@@ghostdragon4164 Episodes getting leaked is on Netflix tho cuz they don't take anime seriously & they don't care at all, all they care about is pushing their so called "NeTfLix aNiMeS" which are clearly just badly animated American shows with 5/10 stories - Like every actual Anime they've produced from *JoJo Part 6* to even the new season of *Kimi Ni Todoke,* they never promote them properly & that resulted into these shows getting overlooked cuz as i said earlier THEY DON'T CARE (don't even get me started on their horrible release schedules instead of weekly airing) & that also shows now into the news of *DanDaDan, Ranma remake & the Mononoke movie,* all 3 of them getting leaked which were surprisingly being produced by Netflix.
The reason these old shows look like paintings is because they ARE paintings. They were made before the era of digital animation (more specifically, between the transition to digital), with cel animation, basically clear sheets artists would physically layer on top of each other under a big camera rig to achieve the sort of layering that comes standard with any digital art program now, to create a single frame of animation with its background. They'd make physical paintings for these shots. Inuyasha was one of the shows that released in the transition between this and digital animation, so you can see the visuals change to something more digital as you get later into its run. It ran for most of the manga in the original run of the show, then they came back years later to finish the story well after the move to digital in Inuyasha: The Final Act. No other real differences for the 2 shows though, it's just the last arc of the manga. Certified classic, one of the shows that introduced my generation in the US to anime, a few years after the big Dragonball, Sailor Moon boom, which is where I was introduced to it. Inuyasha though, among the rest of the Adult Swim anime lineup, is what introduced me to anime as a concept. Before that, I understood stuff like Dragonball as just another kind of cartoon...I mean, it IS, but there's a different cultural meaning to anime that I hadn't picked up on till then. I wouldn't have called it anime, I'd have just called it a cartoon before. The endings are actually more iconic than the openings in this one, at least in the US. Because of how they were broadcast, we didn't actually GET the openings, the episode would just start. Nothing like being 14 years old, staying up WAY later than you should to get in your anime fix, sitting in the dark watching Inuyasha, and hearing those endings come on as the sun started coming up.
18:20 Because they ARE paintings, lol. There is a point in Inuyasha where they switched from hand painted cels to digital painting, and did their best to maintain the look.
I'm going to cry!!! Inuyasha is so very near and dear to my heart! I always say this is the one anime that pushed me into the world of anime. I grew up with anime (sailor moon, dragon ball, cardcaptor sakura, captain tsubasa, saint seiya etc) but i was a little girl so i didn't know it was anime and i didn't even know what anime meant. That is until middle school, when i found Inuyasha. I fell in love with it and then started my anime journey, FMA, Soul Eater, Death Note, all animes i found because of Inuyasha. So this hits me right in my nostalgic heart 😭 The love i have for this anime can't be put into words.
Literally me!! I used to stay up late to watch it on adult swim because you couldn’t find it easily. This anime will always be incredibly precious to me and I wouldn’t have gotten into anime the way I have without it! I would kind of love if Luke reacted to it. It definitely is a retro vibe but it has so much heart and beauty and alot of plot points you see in todays anime can trace their roots to Inuyasha.
@@GOTGames You should check out the sequel series yashahime's openings because they blow the ops of the original out of the water, the best part of that series since the anime was kinda not that best.
I actually like the openings more. OP 1 and 4 are classics and I'm partial to 2 and 6, as for 3 and 5 they're good too. I don't find any opening bad, whereas the endings are a little more hit or miss. There's 2 really really good endings though, and a couple other solid ones too, so I do understand the sentiment that endings are better, just don't agree that they're "a lot better and more remembered"
Spoilerless Synopsis Schoolgirl Kagome is sent back in time to Feudal Era Japan after falling down a well on her family property. There she meets the half demon Inuyasha. Adventures ensue
and that she can go back to her world whenever she goes back to that well that's why she always wear her school uniform but only goes back a few times not always 😅
Inuyasha came out in 2000. It was a very big show for many it was THE big show after Dragonball/ Sailor Moon and before Naruto/One Piece/Bleach. It has a pretty huge following. It also is VERY dark at times and had a habit of airing at 3am in the US. It is time travel...but to an ancient Japan with magic and Demons.. so is it an Isekai? thats a debate actually. The school uniform should have been a clue that transport and not reincarnation is involved. (plenty of death but out main charcter does not start out by dieing) Day 177 Attempt 81 asking for Dot Hack Sign Openings and Endings/ Dot Hack Franchise reactions (intertwined series of Anime and Games)
I thought you'll never react to this 😯 Yeah, the main girl in school uniform can travel between current time and feudal Japan era through a portal. 4:29 wrong, that sheath is actually for the sword, the sword increase in size when charged with demonic energy. I think you missed the opening from the final season, which was a few years apart from the rest of the series.
3:00 multiple tails is essentially the most 'basic' design to denote a mystical creature in Japanese mythology. Fun thing: Inuyasha literally means Dog (Inu) Spirit (Yasha) and Yasha (Yaksha, the original Sanskrit word) are generally benevolent, if sometimes capricious, nature spirits/deities.
Long story short: the main character is Kagome Higurashi (girl in schoolgirl outfit) that, by falling in a old well she founds herself displaced in the sengoku era (1467/1607) filled with all kinds of mystical threats; there she frees a sealed half-dog demon (Inuyasha) with which she is forced into a quest to retrieve all the fragments of an immensely powerful artifact. Oh, BTW: Inuyasha is from Rumiko Takahashi, also the creator of Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2; you can check the animated short "it's a rumic world" to see a brief crossover. BTW the "tailed beast" trope is tied to japanese mythology, in which many creatures grew new tails when growing old enough (usually one each century); the more tails a beas have the more powerful it grows. The most notorious case is the nine-tailed fox (kyuubi), which you can see referenced in... pretty much everything... -Okami, in whitch the kyuubi is a main antagonist -League of Legends has Ahri -Pokémon has Ninetales (also Zoroark, referring more to the shapeshifting abilities of the foxes) -Digimon has Renamon, able to digivolve into Kyubimon -Fate has Koyanskaya -Love, Death and Robots has a shapeshifting fox episode (ep 8) -SCP 953 references the KOREAN version of the nine tailed fox myth (Kumiho) -Naruto, where the main character houses the Kyuubi within his own body -Sonic, in which Tails is a young fox with just two... well... tails -Hololive has a certain very young one tailed white fox spirit who calls her viewers "friends" Fun fact: while you have seen a two tailed cat right here in Inuyasha (Kirara), pokemon also references the Nekomata (two tailed cat) with Espeon... the name "Nekomata" may also remind you of a certain someone... hint: "mogu mogu"🍙
Well, Inuyasha is another classic by Rumiko Takahasi herself (Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikoku, Urasei Yatsura...). I respect this woman a lot and it's just too funny to me when people say women can't be popular in the industry, looking at her work and so many other female author. So, basically, you could say Inuyasha is a mix of Isekai and time traveling. Kagome is a highschool girl living her life at her family shrine until, on her 15 birthday, a strange creature came out of the old well and transport her in the past, 500 years ago, back where mystical creatures, demons and yoki still existed in Japan. She was targeted for a reason : Kagome in the raincarnation of Kikyo, a shrine maiden who died 500 years ago protecting a dangerous object, the Shikon no Tama. The pearl grants demons great powers and can be used for bad deeds by human too. She only escaped thanks to Inuyaha, a half demon teenage boy (his mother was human, his father was a powerful demon dog) who wants to become a full demon. The pearl get shattered in the fight and it's up to both of them to find every little pieces across Japan.
Ah nostalgic memories. Inuyasha was a significant part of my life and really is good. The music the art the action the romance. Just amazing. The endings are probably even more iconic to people than the ops. Ayumi hamasaki sung her heart out for a large amount of those credit songs
IIRC, when the show aired in Italy, it had an English version of the first opening. The voice actors changed after a certain point and maybe then they returned to the japanese opening, but the initial batch of episodes had English lyrics and was sung by the Italian voice of Inuyasha (for those initial episodes), Massimiliano Alto, credited as "Max Alto" for the song. I'm just recalling it from my memory from 20+ years ago, I haven't fact-checked any of this right now. UPDATE: Yes, there is "Inuyasha change the world by Massimiliano Alto" on youtube!
There are 2 kinds VERY VERY VERY commonly know in folktales and media which are quite popular having multiple tails... Kitsune (fox) - YOKAI (monster) foxes gain a tail every 100 years they have been alive with them getting stronger at using their mysterious powers with each tail... Up to 9 tails.... Obviously over time the "trope" has been getting simplified for the sake of telling faster developing stories and nowadays the tails grow as the characters grow stronger instead of agind... Meaning any fox girl or boy in a fantasy setting will eventually end up with 9 tails if the story goes long enough... Nekomata (cats) - Yokai (monster) cat that after living long enough to gain special powers and awareness gets their tail split in 2... same deal as the kitsune mostly but nekomatas are not often depicted as powerful and regal as the Kitsune since nekomata are often run of the mill yokai monsters while kitsune are often close to devine beings in mythology like guardians of temples and gods... There may be other animals like that but those are the 2 more commonly known...

inuyasha osts are absolute bangers, they're super chill i listen to them while studying, buses, subways, when stressed they're just good u couldn't really tell it's from an anime there's no particular one in mind whatever is good
Inuyasha is a DOG Half Demon (Inu Hanyo). Inu means dog. Inuyasha follows Kagome Higurashi, a modern-day high school girl who is transported to feudal Japan through a mystical well. There, she meets Inuyasha, a half-demon who was sealed to a tree by the priestess Kikyo. Kagome discovers that she is Kikyo’s reincarnation and possesses the Shikon Jewel, which grants immense power. After accidentally shattering the jewel, Kagome and Inuyasha must work together to collect its shards before they fall into the hands of evil beings, particularly Naraku, a cunning demon who seeks the jewel for himself. Along their journey, they gather allies like Shippo, Miroku, and Sango while facing numerous challenges and uncovering their feelings for each other. 95% of problems are caused by Naraku, who just won't die!
Edit: That last opening wasn't the last one! There are 7 seasons to InuYasha, the last one just took forever to come out and got called "the final act!" 02:52 Oh yeah, Japan has legends around multi-tailed beasts. The Kitsune (fox yōkai) is a famous one, with the number of tails indicating how powerful they are. I believe Nekomata is the term for the cat variant ("Neko" = "cat") and I've usually seen the cat depicted with two tails. P.S. - something you'll want for anime if you don't know it already: "Yōkai" often gets translated into "demon" in anime, but a quick google search describes yōkai as a catch-all term for tricksters, mythical beasts, demons, monsters, ghosts, etc. "Demon" in anime doesn't necessarily mean Christian/Catholic demons or creatures of hell - you kind of have to guess from context how "demon" is being used - though you could say that's true for fantasy stories written in English, too. I'll leave it up to you if you want to go further into origins of the terms "demon" and "daemon"
OMG YOU REACTED TO SOMETHING INUYASHA RELATEED DJD❤❤ It's been my favorite anime since I was 8, I'm so happy to see the OPs that introduced me to japanese music on your channel
YES YES YES!!! I love Inuyasha !! It was one of my first animes, the author is the same as Ranma (one of the most famous manga/anime in the world too!) and I will be forever recomening it! Btw I am watching your demon slayer reactions and I've been enjoying them a lot! I would like to recomend My Hero Academia next!
Hey bro, remember KAF who sung Devour the Past? Well, her group V.W.P is getting an anime. Woohoo!!!! It's called "Kamitsubaki City Under Construction"
Inuyasha is so popular even today and even has an ending season known as the final arc, has multiple movies and a sequel series.. I would absolutely love it for you to react to this iconic anime 👍 BTW Inuyasha is a boy , he's not a cat but clearly based on certain supernatural dog beings of Japanese lore, and the girl in the school outfit time travels
Inuyasha was the very first anime I ever saw. I was introduced to it by my friends in high school. It’s funny that you say it looks essentially just like a sweet, happy story-because it was only on adult swim. I used to sneak downstairs while my parents and sister were asleep to stay up past midnight to watch Inuyasha because it didn’t air until nighttime. It’s considered adult, there’s blood, guts and some nudity (though the nudity is not really shown-but obviously not considered for kids). I had never seen even Pokémon or anything before I met my friends in high school who showed me Inuyasha. You’re not correct about it being isekai reincarnation, but more on the money with time travel. The story honestly is much better than today’s. The concept is much better. I do recommend but unfortunately it is a very long series. That’s the only part that makes its entry for new watchers daunting I think. I do wish it was shorter personally, but the story is good.
Yes! Please have a vote for an older anime! So many great shows from the 90s and early 2000s! My vote would be for this, Cowboy Bebop, Yu Yu Hakusho or Rurouni Kenshin. All of them have great eng dubs too.
Awesome job reactng to Inuyasha's opening theme songs. This is one of the early anime's I watched where I truly invested a lot of time into the series and especially the soundtrack. Kaoru Wada is the composer for the instrumentals and his work is *chef's kiss. The opening themes are very memorable. The ending themes are also just as memorable and hopefully you react to them sometime. I'm getting nostalgic for this series. - might pop a few episodes in now! Openings are adventure poppy but the ending themes tend to be the emotional aspect of the series where it's a bit more slow with ballads and tempo. Opening #4 is by far my favorite by the band Every Little Thing!
All of your theories are just giving me the widest smile. This is such a fun nostalgia trip for me. Inuyasha was the first anime I ever owned on DVD. What a fun ride!
Inu Yasha is the reason that so many early Isekai characters managed to spend most of their time in modern school uniforms. Mystic Knight Rayearth etc.
So happy you reacted to Inuyasha! It’s an amazing old school anime that’s so iconic. There’s also Inuyasha: Final Act to react to as well. You should definitely react to the endings as well! They’re just as memorable if not more. It’s always enjoyable seeing your reactions to the anime openings
I clicked so quickly looking at the thumbnail.. omg Inuyasha is and will always be my favourite Anime No joke! It set the record till this day ..ah nostalgia best Childhood Anime ever !!! 😊 Do watch it you would love it !!
Hey Luke. The creator of Inuyasha also made Ranma 1/2 and Uresai Yatsura. Speaking of which, there is a remake of Ranma 1/2 coming out very soon, in a couple months (during next Anime season). I hope you'll consider watching the remake. Maybe as a Patreon anime if it isn't censored. But its likely to be censored, based on the trailer we have seen. Ranma 1/2 has a surprisingly large international fanbase, so it would perform well on RUclips for views. The original Ranma 1/2 would HAVE to be watched on Patreon, as it occasionally shows breasts.
I grew up with the German openings for this... rare time when the dubbed songs where great xD the Japanese ones are cool too though, most openings where straight translations too.
Inuyasha is long, but very worth watching! It has a little bit of everything: Action, romance, adventure, and lots and lots of comedy sprinkled in. It may be my bias and nostalgia speaking to a certain extent, but this show has some of the funniest running gags, as well as some of the most emotional moments in any anime ever.
I fucking love this show! And I'm sure you'd like it. It's hilarious. Also it's pronounced inu-yasha not inyu-asha... Actually, I'd want to see this added to the main slot votings in the future. It's an absolute classic. And also, Ranma 1/2, which is by the same Mangaka (Rumiko Takahashi, who also wrote Urusei Yatsura) is getting a remake this fall, so that is my suggestion for the next one you react to weekly, as soon as it's out. As for the multiple tails thing: That is just Japanese folklore. There is multiple Yokai that have multiple tails, including Kitsune (a fox spirit that has 6 tails) and Nekomata (A cat with 2 tails) and all of the anime creatures you have seen with those features are based on those Yokai. Oh, and for the School Uniform thing: MOST people don't HAVE a school uniform, that is basically only a thing in parts of Asia and in the UK.
So happy you reacted to these!!! Now you're missing the endings AND Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen (The final act) which came out years after the original. Also amazing songs there (one opening and a few endings) ❤
first i want to say: its inu-yah-sha (not inu-asha) 1:50 inu == dog so its a dog boi 2:05 there are 2 time periods. most ppl forget: InuYasha i an isekai. 3:08 because there are quite a few mythoogial creatues like that. Most famous the 9tailed fox and the 2tailed cat 7:31 keep in mind "Isekai" just means "new world". this does not define if its "reincardnation" (dying and born in a new world), or transmigration (dying or not dying, but being stuck in a different body/character in another world) or if its some form of transportation (aka just going as is, with their own body to another world, for example like digimon) 9:37 Sit. 10:12 i love Sessi so much T^T 12:46 while i like the 3rd OP, i love GRIPE the most
Inuyasha is not an isekai time travel =/= isekai. Its still the same world. Isekai means DIFFERENT world, so by definition time travel cannot be a different world because its still the same world.
Fun fact, for the time, it was (and kinda still is) one of the highest quality anime adaptations. It's to the point where I found versions of the colored manga where it's just anime screenshots
If you liked the english openings, you should check out the german one! It's back from the time when germany made original openings for animes, instead of translating or keeping the japanese openings.
Sesshomaru (white haired man with white fur on his shoulder) the man of whom at least 80% of the fandom dreamt about. Looks, voice, character arc - the man has it all. To be honest, every character in Inuyasha has an arc. But, oh my, how many of my girlfriends were madly in love with Sesshomaru. The only character that produced the same amount of craze at that time was maniac from Yami no Matsuei. Girls do be loving bad guys with silky law voices in anime.
Yup, time traveller , she goes through a well and goes some 500 years back 'where demons and spirits wander around', she's the reincarnation of the long hair priestress that was in love with the red clothes half-demon dude [Inuyasha]. The magical sword was kind of made from his father fang [big demon wolf]. Inuyasha was 'sealed by magic' and was released by the school girl, they later recover a necklace with super-duper magical powers the she commands [she says 'sit', and Inuyasha is forced to the ground, used for comic relief]. There's some romantic drama between some characters, the villain [and every other demon around] wants the necklace, the neckalce breaks into hunder pieces, forward 140 episodes and we get a classic 90s ending. 10/10 would enjoy again. PS. About the sound effects on the opening, Gundam Wing rings me a bell
This is great!! The nostalgia I get from this is just amazing. Glad to see that this anime is getting some love. This is what got me to anime back in the early 2000s.
About the mystical creatures with mutiple tails, it's because of Japanese folklore haha the cat in Inuyasha is a nekomata (or cat youkai), and if it's a fox with multiple tails, then its a kitsune youkai (or kumiho) hahaha the Japanese often base off their monsters on youkai, mononoke, ayakashi and/or bakemono. In Inuyasha they play a special role due to it being set in the Sengoku period!
9:33 This is like an episode 2 spoiler but after Inuyasha(the guy in red) tries to kill Kagome(the girl in the uniform priestess placed a set of beads on Inuyasha so whenever Kagome says “sit boy” or any variation, Inuyasha falls to his face
Inuyasha was one of the first animes I ever watched probably close to 20 years ago! It has a fantastic story and I'm sure it'll surprise you as early as the first few episodes. I love the first opening but I have so much nostalgia mostly for the endings! I hope you react to this show eventually
Inuyasha is my favorite Isekai, behind Re:Zero and Konosuba. It has by far the most rich setting and world building in the genre. Also, ED 1 is the best ED of all time, and stayed rent free in my head for over 20 years. Love this show.
Inuyasha's setting is a combination of a modern era (the 90s I believe), but is mostly set during the warring states period of Japan (so from the 1400s to the 1600s), but with demons and other fantasy elements. The girl is able to travel between the era she was born in and the warring states period.
This makes me smile, Inuyasha has been my favorite anime since I was 13 (I'm 33 now). I definitely enjoy the ending themes more than the openings, but this brings me back.
Now. React to the Endings!! They're equally if not some even better than the Openings!! And BoA is singing for one of them as well!! BoA as in the Queen of K-Pop alltimes!
Inuyasha is an adventure show most of all, but it also does have a lot of focus on romance or more like relationships between characters, (trying not to spoil anything) there's a lot of exploration in regard to how people form bonds and how people deal with emotions of losing those bonds. But yeah, it's a great show, a little long for what it is, but if you're in the mood for more romance/drama-leaning shonen, i feel like it's a very good option. It's not exactly lighthearted, there is some dark stuff in it, but it typically doesn't go overboard with it, so there's still quite a lot of comedic and just fun moments. Short description: Kagome -- a modern day teenager -- gets dragged into a magical well that transports her into the times of Sengoku Jidai (Warring States period), but surprisingly the world at this time is also filled with magic, monsters and mystical items. She then is recognized as a reincarnation of Kikyo, a priestess who protected a local village from demons, but who's believed to been killed a long time ago by a half-demon-dog -- Inuyasha -- now sealed by a cursed arrow to a tree. When the mystical Sacred Jewel which grants immense power is shattered, Kagome and Inuyasha, who is released from a curse and now bound to follow Kagome, must find every piece before someone with evil intentions does it first. On their journey they meet monster huntress Sango (girl with a giant boomerang) and her demonic fox Kirara, a shapeshifter Shippo (tanuki character), and perverted priest with a dangerous secret Miroku. They also fight against Inuyasha's half-brother a true-demon-dog Sesshomaru, Koga from a wolf-clan, and seemingly endless demonic (and not) forces of Naraku.
The quiet time in the openings at the very end of each, where the animation repeats for a few cycles, is where sponsors are announced. There'd usually be text there and a lady narrating, but since this is a textless version, I guess those are removed as well. I honestly don't remember there being sfx in the original openings, but it's been so long... This review is making me want to go back and check out the anime for a bit lol.
I grew up watching Inuyasha, everything in spanish cuz i didn't even learn how to read or speak english, it was pretty dope, i love the openings and endings of Inuyasha, i rarely like an anime's endings but Inuyasha is the exception for me, i really hope you watch it!
YES YES YES YES You've made my day! This series is so beloved to me. I'm incredibly glad you've decided to listen to the ODs! Istg, the OST, ODs, and EDs are top-notch. I hope you'll continue to give this anime a try, even outside of YT! I'd also like to add there's actually a 7th, from the final season (Inuyasha: The Final Act [TFA]) that was released 5 years later. In total, 7 seasons and openings to boot. However, there are 11 endings. The final season (TFA) has 3 endings. 24:49, 25:50 Is the anime fun, romantic, action-packed, funny? Yep! Is it happy? At times! It balances youthfulness with maturity, with plenty of scenes, plotlines, characters, and themes that range from fluffy, comedic, and sweet to angsty, tragic, and dark. You'll enjoy it!
You have made me want to watch Inuyasha again. I think it was around 2012 the last time I watched it xD. Honestly, the openings before were something else. They were the more artistic part and focused on introducing you to the characters with beautiful metaphors. Nowadays anime openings seem like quick trailers full of spoilers XD
Intense nostalgia running through me. Inuyasha & Yuyuhakasho are what got me into the anime genre. I had seen DBZ/Sailor Moon before...but I had just looked at them as any other cartoon. However when Inuyasha/YYH popped up on Adult Swim...I was in and wanted more. Also look forward to your eventual reaction to the endings, because while the openings of Inuyasha are good (Grip was my fav)...the endings are simply Amazing.
I'm glad that you finally did these like I asked a while ago! The endings are good as well and I believe their are some more openings in the final act of inuyasha you can still see.

gods and spirits with multiple tails are very common in japanese mythology - that's why anime uses that very often.
without spoiler, the summary of the story is that kagome, the girl in uniform falls into the well in her garden and finds herself in a world where humans and demons live together. she will meet inuyasha the guy with dog ears who is half human half demon and they will go in search of a sacred pearl destroyed in many pieces. funny thing, the anime is not really an isekai because kagome can go home whenever she wants. so there are moments in the real world and in the fantasy world.
The sound effects in the openings usually happen on special occasions during the seasons, they're not usually on all the time
23:47 lol hate to do this to you but the little dude your talking about was never shown with inuyasha. He and Rin(the little girl) belong to a different group
Also, the endings are even better than the openings imo
There are some really iconic endings to Inuyasha. Hopefully you react to those as well!
Definitely! Fukai Mori immediately comes to mind 😂
@@khoale4162 if you say comemes to mind why not "come" this is the one i love
Yes pls ☺️🙏🏼
I also agree. I love the endings to Inuyasha. I can't wait for you to react to those.
Agreed!!. He should. The endings are so good too.
And the endings too!!!!
Oh I'll catch that in a montage video 💯💯

@@avyanschannel InuYasha is gold
I really do miss *InuYasha* 😭
*Rumiko Takahashi* single handedly created 100s of troupes we see now in Shounen RomComs & Ecchi anime, back when female Mangakas were used to be stereotyped for only writing Shoujo & Horror Mangas, She was one of the few who created tons of Classics for the Shounen Demographics from *InuYasha* to *Urusei Yatsura* to *Ranma 1/2,* all of them really do revolutionaries the RomCom genre in Shounen Magazines with their Supernatural touch & she'll always be one of the GOATs in the scene 🛐
Add to the fact that Ranma is getting a remake with the first few eps getting leaked recently
If there was a manga Mt. Rushmore, I'd definitely put her on it (alongside Tezuka, Nagai & Toriyama)
@@ghostdragon4164 Episodes getting leaked is on Netflix tho cuz they don't take anime seriously & they don't care at all, all they care about is pushing their so called "NeTfLix aNiMeS" which are clearly just badly animated American shows with 5/10 stories -
Like every actual Anime they've produced from *JoJo Part 6* to even the new season of *Kimi Ni Todoke,* they never promote them properly & that resulted into these shows getting overlooked cuz as i said earlier THEY DON'T CARE (don't even get me started on their horrible release schedules instead of weekly airing) & that also shows now into the news of *DanDaDan, Ranma remake & the Mononoke movie,* all 3 of them getting leaked which were surprisingly being produced by Netflix.
Perhaps we could get an Inuyasha remake in the late 2020s or 2030s if the trend and success holds.
More than half of modern romance manga/anime can trace their formula back to Maison Ikkoku.
3:10 It's simply because there are some mythological creatures with several tails in Japanese folklore, such as nekomata, a two-tailed cat.
or kitsune the nine tailed fox
So this hits me right in my nostalgic heart 😭
The love i have for this anime can't be put into words.
Omg I am in the exact same boat. For two seconds I had to make sure it wasn’t me who said this cause I literally got into anime the same way.

Absolutely will! 💯
@@GOTGames You should check out the sequel series yashahime's openings because they blow the ops of the original out of the water, the best part of that series since the anime was kinda not that best.

Yes!!!
Fukai Mori
Every Heart
Shinjitsu No Uta
Itazurana Kiss

I actually like the openings more. OP 1 and 4 are classics and I'm partial to 2 and 6, as for 3 and 5 they're good too. I don't find any opening bad, whereas the endings are a little more hit or miss.
There's 2 really really good endings though, and a couple other solid ones too, so I do understand the sentiment that endings are better, just don't agree that they're "a lot better and more remembered"

Spoilerless Synopsis
Schoolgirl Kagome is sent back in time to Feudal Era Japan after falling down a well on her family property.
(plenty of death but out main charcter does not start out by dieing)
Day 177 Attempt 81 asking for Dot Hack Sign Openings and Endings/ Dot Hack Franchise reactions (intertwined series of Anime and Games)
I thought you'll never react to this 😯
Yeah, the main girl in school uniform can travel between current time and feudal Japan era through a portal.
4:29 wrong, that sheath is actually for the sword, the sword increase in size when charged with demonic energy.
I think you missed the opening from the final season, which was a few years apart from the rest of the series.
Yes, missing the last opening was unfortunate!
A few years try about 5 to 10 years later
-Okami, in whitch the kyuubi is a main antagonist
-League of Legends has Ahri
-Pokémon has Ninetales (also Zoroark, referring more to the shapeshifting abilities of the foxes)
-Digimon has Renamon, able to digivolve into Kyubimon
-Fate has Koyanskaya
-Love, Death and Robots has a shapeshifting fox episode (ep 8)
-SCP 953 references the KOREAN version of the nine tailed fox myth (Kumiho)
-Naruto, where the main character houses the Kyuubi within his own body
-Sonic, in which Tails is a young fox with just two... well... tails
-Hololive has a certain very young one tailed white fox spirit who calls her viewers "friends"
Fun fact: while you have seen a two tailed cat right here in Inuyasha (Kirara), pokemon also references the Nekomata (two tailed cat) with Espeon... the name "Nekomata" may also remind you of a certain someone... hint: "mogu mogu"🍙
bit odd that you chose kosankya over all the other tamamos, including the og tamamo
@@Skywolfhd20 true, but all that dialogues are about her being a cat, so I didn't want to sound insensitive.
Speaking of Ranma ½, it's getting a remake by Mappa!
This was my gateway anime playing at 2am on Adult Swim ;w;

inuyasha osts are absolute bangers, they're super chill i listen to them while studying, buses, subways, when stressed
they're just good u couldn't really tell it's from an anime
there's no particular one in mind whatever is good
Inuyasha is a DOG Half Demon (Inu Hanyo).
Inuyasha was one of my first animes. I still love it so much. It’s dramatic, dark, tragic, and just so good! You should definitely give it a watch.
Edit: That last opening wasn't the last one! There are 7 seasons to InuYasha, the last one just took forever to come out and got called "the final act!"
02:52 Oh yeah, Japan has legends around multi-tailed beasts. The Kitsune (fox yōkai) is a famous one, with the number of tails indicating how powerful they are. I believe Nekomata is the term for the cat variant ("Neko" = "cat") and I've usually seen the cat depicted with two tails.
P.S. - something you'll want for anime if you don't know it already:
"Yōkai" often gets translated into "demon" in anime, but a quick google search describes yōkai as a catch-all term for tricksters, mythical beasts, demons, monsters, ghosts, etc.
OMG YOU REACTED TO SOMETHING INUYASHA RELATEED DJD❤❤
It's been my favorite anime since I was 8, I'm so happy to see the OPs that introduced me to japanese music on your channel
Inuyasha was the anime that got me into anime. Highly recommend.
I would absolutely love it for you to react to this iconic anime 👍
BTW Inuyasha is a boy , he's not a cat but clearly based on certain supernatural dog beings of Japanese lore, and the girl in the school outfit time travels
I have heard of the sequel series never seen it. But I have heard of it. Yashahime.
Everytime the phrase "I want to change the world" comes on, tears also come on. The nostalgia just hits differently for this one.
Yes! Please have a vote for an older anime! So many great shows from the 90s and early 2000s!
My vote would be for this, Cowboy Bebop, Yu Yu Hakusho or Rurouni Kenshin. All of them have great eng dubs too.
The endings are far superior.
Definitely watch all of them.
Woooah~!! Can't believe it's finally here. Don't forget the ED songs, they're good as well~
All of your theories are just giving me the widest smile.
This is such a fun nostalgia trip for me. Inuyasha was the first anime I ever owned on DVD. What a fun ride!
Inu Yasha is the reason that so many early Isekai characters managed to spend most of their time in modern school uniforms. Mystic Knight Rayearth etc.
There’s another opening which is the continuation called inuyasha:the final act, inuyasha was cancelled but they continued the anime years later

The original Ranma 1/2 would HAVE to be watched on Patreon, as it occasionally shows breasts.

yes I would really recommend InuYasha, it was the masterpiece of the mangaka, this anime literally marked an era in shonen
I grew up with the German openings for this... rare time when the dubbed songs where great xD
the Japanese ones are cool too though, most openings where straight translations too.
Yeah, the German original openings for this are great.
Then there is yashahime what a disgrace of a "sequel" that is
@@BillyFishy I mean, it's not as good as the original, but I still enjoyed it.

So happy you reacted to these!!! Now you're missing the endings AND Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen (The final act) which came out years after the original. Also amazing songs there (one opening and a few endings) ❤
Op 6 is my favourite inuyasha opening
first i want to say:
its inu-yah-sha (not inu-asha)
1:50 inu == dog
so its a dog boi
2:05 there are 2 time periods. most ppl forget: InuYasha i an isekai.
3:08 because there are quite a few mythoogial creatues like that. Most famous the 9tailed fox and the 2tailed cat
7:31 keep in mind "Isekai" just means "new world". this does not define if its "reincardnation" (dying and born in a new world), or transmigration (dying or not dying, but being stuck in a different body/character in another world) or if its some form of transportation (aka just going as is, with their own body to another world, for example like digimon)
9:37 Sit.
10:12 i love Sessi so much T^T
12:46 while i like the 3rd OP, i love GRIPE the most
Inuyasha is not an isekai time travel =/= isekai. Its still the same world. Isekai means DIFFERENT world, so by definition time travel cannot be a different world because its still the same world.
For it to be Isekai,it needs at least two worlds, Inuyasha only has Earth
Reincarnation is a subset of Isekai
Fun fact, for the time, it was (and kinda still is) one of the highest quality anime adaptations.
It's to the point where I found versions of the colored manga where it's just anime screenshots
If you liked the english openings, you should check out the german one!
It's back from the time when germany made original openings for animes, instead of translating or keeping the japanese openings.
Inuyasha is literally THE anime that got me into anime and i promise you you love this story it completely well peaced
God these openings bring me back…Inuyasha was such a good series.
Gundam Wing OP had all the sound effects which I'm pretty sure Sunrise also did Inuyasha so makes sense
Inuyasha is such great old anime. (U forgot about the 7th Opening. And the endings are great too)
The bees are my favorite characters, they are so important and significant that they just continue to do what they do until the very end.
You missed the last opening #7 I suggest you to watch the endings too❤
Nostalgia, also the Endings are Bangers
Inuyasha was one of the first animes I ever watched probably close to 20 years ago! It has a fantastic story and I'm sure it'll surprise you as early as the first few episodes. I love the first opening but I have so much nostalgia mostly for the endings! I hope you react to this show eventually
Inuyasha is one of those mandatory Anime you have to watch if you want to consider yourself a true Anime fan.
I LOVE THIS
The ending also
Dream, Do as Infinity, boa, Ayumi Hamaski
Peak j-pop
The best way I can describe Inuyasha to you is that it is a DND campaign in the best way. My second favorite anime ever!
I´d love if you reacted to the anime, is one of my favorite!!!! And I agree, my favorite is 3 as well
Inuyasha the final act op was not included and not sure if Yashahime op counts for this even though it can be considered a sequel.
I was checking though the comments to see if someone said this and glad i was not the only one who notice.
@@jadennoking9000 I hope we get to see the rest sometime.
Ahh, how I miss Inuyasha.
Waiting for the ending next.
damn i love inuyasha opening in spanish, it is beautiful
Never expect this happen ngl im glad i can see one of the first anime i finish actually getting recognition.
i love how the one thing that surprises ppl consistently is the gore. inuyasha is a shockingly blood heavy anime when you get into it lol.
