I got the Butterfly Garden book! 😃 But I want the smaller one to! I love the emery board idea!! 😃 So much cheaper! Ok next month I'm getting a set of these pencils. Wax pencils scare me. I started from the get-go with Polychromo's. I never learned to blend with a white pencil or use blending techniques. With Polys as I layer and layer and LAYER they blend themselves. And I tend to be heavy handed so by the last layer it's always burnished. But these pencils seem soft but not as soft as Prismas or the Colorblend and no wax bloom is a major plus! Also their cheap. If I hate them it's only a small set of pencils. If I like them ...... I don't know. 😕 I like names on my pencils. I might go with the Colorblend having eased into soft wax pencils. But first things first. To try a set of these pencils! Thanks for the in depth review! You answer all the questions a colorist would want to know! Thanks so much!
I wasn't doing a backhanded compliment with the colorist artist thing. I meant that your pages are Beautiful so if you say your no Colorist I must strongly object! But I think you misspoke and meant to say "I'm no Artist" which technically isn't true because coloring is art but me and most other colorist don't feel like we're artists either. Colorist like Dede and Chris are Artists you know? But our work is still beautiful! And Your pages are! Which you probably got and this comment is redundant but I wanted it to be clear because its not always when you write something and the person can't see your expression or hear your voice. Ok I'm going to stop rambling now.
ooh no I've hardly had any chance to color or watch tutorials .....I feel left behind. Yesterday I had planned to color in but of course life got in the way and I had to pop on one of my other hats :( If you want to dive into the wax based pencils, you can buy some Colleen pencils which are wax based and low cost and lovely. Although I'm not a fan of their white pencil for blending but I have a Caran D'Ache white pencil I use instead lol! I'm going to put stickers on my Colorista pencils and give them names - Strawberry Surprise, Morning mist ...It'll keep me amused for hours! Happy coloring x

I checked out the Colleens! I had seen those around and wondered what they were called! I'm going to try the dual end ones. Also the buttery goodness of the Colorblend is really calling to me. Especially after yesterday I fought with my Polychromo's trying to put in a background. Hmm it sucks you don't get to color as much as you want to. But if your not a Colorist ...who is? You have done more for the Coloring Community than 80% of the rest of us combined!! I would not have half the books I have it I hadn't seen your reveiws! Japanese books! Korean books! Swedish books! German books! And the Etsy books that should come up on etsys search engine when I type in "coloring books" but Don't!! And now the digital download books!! And the innovative ideas like to do with finished pages, washi tape and my fav. Crayons!😃 And Product reviews to! Frankly I don't know how you have time to sleep!! And being a Colorist can't be judged by the amount of pages completed! Passion for Pencils her work is beautiful but it is slowwww. Like 5 pages in a year sloww. But she was working in Secret Garden and Johanna Bedford sent her Magical Jungle. Even though JB had to know there was no way she would finish a page before the book came out. But Passion for Pencils work is very elegant.True. But JB says "Don't worry if you go over the lines" She says that in every book. I know because I reread it when I'm feeling discouraged from constantly going out of the lines. But She's reminding us we don't have to be skilled to be a Colorist! So if it's not amount of pics. colored or skill that makes a Colorist then what does? I think it's in the love for it! The excitement about it! And like you said You WANTED to color more! Every Colorist has said that!! Wanting to Color but Darn it life gets in the way!! Also I think we need a new coloring medium. We're using ones that were not intended for adult coloring. They were meant for artist. So if they took forever well the buyer felt like he got his pound of flesh for shelling out $$$$$ And crayons are fast but we're adults. PB&J is nice every once in awhile but not all the time. Its the same with Crayons. We Colorist need a coloring medium that is as fast as crayons but gives a finish as good as pencils. It needs to be one step. No having to come back and blend of burnish. It also can't bleed through. And it can't be insanely expensive to get all the colors cough-Copics-cough ..... excuse me. Allergies. 😊And yeah that's it. I mean a pretty case would be nice but it's not necessary! lol!😄 Anyway I've talked your ear off! And how you feel is how you feel and im not trying to make you feel wrong for feeling that way. I just wanted to say how I see You!

I forgot the house Renovations!🔨 That must take up so much time! Though I'm sure it's exciting to!! 🏡Especially as Projects get finished. Exhausting but still! I hope it's going well! Thank You great review and the Colleen color pencils do you like them, i've seen aqn amazing picture to Fb. group and She use these Brand but for myself i don't have a clue of this Brand!
