An Indonesian Flagged, coastal containership developed a starboard list while alongside in Surabaya on the evening of November 15, 2020.
Container ship MENTARI CRYSTAL capsized with her starboard resting on bottom along pier at Teluk Lamong Terminal, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, at night Nov 15. There were 137 containers on board at the time of an accident, understood crew are safe. The ship most probably, became highly unstable due to faulty ballasting and containers stowage. Containers recovery operation was launched, but no more details are available at the moment, as of morning Nov 17
