it’s kinda funny cause we eat “edible crystals” all the time, so frequently actually that often there are containers dedicated to providing just that on each table of a diner. sugar and salt basically rule half our tastebuds and are so easily forgotten as what they are haha.

There’s videos of how to make them yourself online. The texture is completely different until you let it dry out. It’s super neat. You should look it up and watch! ❤🥰
it's essentially dried out favored jello but because of the sugar content it crystalizes on the outside. similar to like dried papaya chunks.
They are made of agar agar which comes from seaweed. They are a common asian candy dessert.
