I have my inexpensive purple school pens, TWSBI Eco, Pilot Metropolitan, Sailor Compass, Diplomat Magnum, and Kaweco Perkeo that I carry without much concern for loss as they are easily replaceable. I use Pilot Vanishing Point in my Weeks and carry the Esterbrook Estie and Pilot Custom 823 in pen sleeves. My stay at home A5 Hobonichi has the Platinum 3776 burgundy and blue. Of course I’ve added the newbies to the rotation this week. I hope you share when you choose and purchase a Laban.
Well, I’ve been considering Visconti Homo Sapiens. Since I’ve experienced a broad range of brands and nibs, with many more to experience, I could say I don’t have a favorite. I have some I would part with as they are unused, yet I have a variety of pen and nib sizes that I use daily/weekly. They each serve a writing purpose. Pilot Vanishing Point or snap/click caps are great in meetings when taking sporadic notes. Caps that have over one full turn to release become a nuisance in this instance. Vac and piston fillers are great for long writing sessions due to their ink capacity. Then there is the aesthetic property. I enjoy the beauty of my pen and nib in my hand. The tactile experience of feedback and paper must also be considered. I must admit, you need great pens🖋🖋🖋🖋, not a great pen. 🖋 Hugs to you!

Yes, at times I enjoy the small lightweight pens and others I want the heavier pens. I do the same with nibs from EF to B and Stub. I enjoy it all! 🖋️

Is there a crack in the threads on the barrel of the Laban pen or is it just part of the line marking to make it look like ivory streaks?
Good eye! I thought the same thing, but when inspected closely and felt the area, it is smooth, no crack. 👏🏻🖊️
