    EX series set a stage to shame other vehicles in the same category.
    Very impressive vehicle.
    If you are looking for a full sized SUV, look somewhere else. You do not buy a Corvette to tow your Boat.
    Test drove a 2011 Journey.
    What really impressed me most was that the Interior actually deserves an award and actually looks better than the beautiful outside, functionally carved out to be entertaining to look at, and yet so easy to figure out without any manuals. The Vehicle is pure FUN to look at, sit in, and Drive.
    Fell in love at first sight, and NEVER disappointed by even better surprise on introduction.
    Look closer and you see every Car manufacturer is copying the design of Infinity Ex Hats off to Infinity

    These guys are full of it. I bought the 2014 QX50 which is this identical car with a new name. I am a 6 ft tall driver and when my drivers seat is adjusted, the passenger seat behind me has plenty of leg room for me. It handles like a BMW, and accelerates like one. I was set to buy an X1 and drove this and fell in love. Getting all those luxury appointments in a BMW would push the price into the stratosphere. If i need to haul a lot, the button controlled seat backs make lots of space appear instantly. With the seats up, the backend holds a weeks groceries for four.

    I have to strongly disagree with the review's comment that cargo space is so small you might as well get a g37. That's way off. I own the ex35 and a friend of mine has the g37 and there is no comparison as the sedans seats do not even fold down. Also the ex35 feels much more luxurious than the sedan, much better quality interior

    • @pootloop7877
      @pootloop7877 6 лет назад +1

      Robert Cerezo the cargo space is actually a lot without the rear seats down. It’s more then some cars or crossovers.

  • @ThousanWhite
    @ThousanWhite 8 лет назад +3

    The new 2016 version of this car is great. All this crossover needed was an extended wheelbase to create a usable 2nd row. The cargo space isn't too bad if you look at it as a hatchback and not necessarily a crossover.

  • @mikeschaner5853
    @mikeschaner5853 4 года назад +1

    2 things:
    1st - they mentioned the ex is built on the g series chassis. That is only half correct. The EX is on the G35/G37 Coupe chassis. The FX is on the G35/37 Sedan Chassis.
    2nd - They complain about the space in this EX. It's a compact crossover. You want space? Upgrade the class.

  • @DacAL_8

    I have an EX35 2008 AWD and I get to drive a G37X as a loaner car whenever I service the EX. I prefer the cargo space in the EX35/37 compare to the G37. The G37 sedan rear seat cannot be folded. G37 trunk opening is not as big as the EX35. The EX35 hatch door (If you call it that way) gives more space and opening...
    EX35 advantage to G37 sedan = better cargo space / includes wider cargo opening access. The car has better ground clearance for snow. Very comfortable leather seats.

    • @angelbluerider9588
      @angelbluerider9588 5 лет назад

      hi do you know if the Ex,s got galley gasket problems like the g37,s has?

  • @Ottaro
    @Ottaro 11 лет назад +4

    Although I understand why you guys gave it such a low rating I would like to ask you something.
    How many 2 door crossover are there? There are customers out there that want the better ground clearance and awd of a x-over but the looks of a coupe. We get alot of snow fall here and those 2 attributes are necessary.
    This would be as close to it as possible. The gas mileage is awful I'll give you that but besides that this to me is a great car.

    The 2017 QX50 has the same engine but lengthen to add more room to the rear seats. After 2017, the QX50 was redesigned with a new 4 cyl turbo and front wheel bias.

    where's this guy now? he's right on point. good views. reviewers don't have balls to criticize a car if it deserves it . he's got them good points of view

  • @DacAL_8
    @DacAL_8 11 лет назад +3

    EX35/37 has much better Interior than the G37 , even better than the BMW.....x5/x3 etc.
    I just wish the EX35/37 pulls harder like the G37 sedan off the line... =)
    BTW, you can install stock exhaust system from the G37 COUPE to EX35/37. It bolts right in....

    I wonder if cross-over cars like these are the kinds we look back on 20 years from now saying "What on earth were they thinking?". Very much form over function :) Nice review!

  • @MillerVanDotTV
    @MillerVanDotTV 5 лет назад +1

    These are starting to look like a good deal for a winter snow beater. Need a small AWD Crossover (want / need hatch for cargo). Can pick these up with room in budget for a set of winter wheels / tires, tints, and rust prevention film for under $15k. Of course I need something that speaks to my enthusiast interests as well, and it has a multi link front and rear suspension and a screaming motor. Any interesting Subaru at this price point is getting ratty. Also looking at first gen Acura RDX and RAV4 V6 (ugh Toyota tax).

    Once again, great review guys. I am currently searching for these SUVs, CUVs, and checked this Infiniti. I had the exact same feeling when I saw it, It looks so bold and big outside, but the back seat is so disappointing. It is definitely not a family car. Honda and Mazda on the other hand did a better job with their CR-V and CX-5.
    Thank you for the video.

    @45deg - Based on an analysis of U.S. vehicle registrations by Polk, a leading global market intelligence firm, the average length of ownership of vehicles that were purchased new has risen to a record 71.4 months, or nearly six years. So we, Alex and I, give each car a rating based on a 0-72 months scale. That's how we came up with it :-) -- Dave

    Great review. Loved the music during the driving scenes. I so much wish the back seat room was larger. This car looks great inside and out but the lack of room in the back is a deal breaker for me. C'mon Infiniti......get it right!

  • @lisawood3924
    @lisawood3924 7 лет назад +4

    I was only looking at this to see what the QX50 used to be, since I bought the 2016 QX50 and love it!!! Couldn't help but feel this review was a little off base by recommending the sedan over this, because a sedan doesn't have a hatchback and fold down seats, which were key in what I wanted. Of course the newer QX50, since 2016, has 4" more in knee room of the back seat, but even before this change, a person could drive what looks and acts like a sports car and have the benefit of folding down the seats to haul something that the sedan would not be able to. So, yes, there IS reason to have bought this over the sedan. It's what I wanted. If Lexus hadn't put such an ugly grille on front of their current vehicles, I would have stayed with Lexus, which is all I drove for 12 years. BMW and Mercedes are over rated, with huge depreciation, major maintenance expenses and certainly don't offer more for the money. I had considered the Porsche Macan S, but at this time I found the QX50 a great value and I am truly enjoying it!

    Gentlemen, Youre review is okay but sucks when you move to the back seats. When you stop and open the driver door the driver seat automatically slides BACK. also the rear seats RECLINE. They recline recline recline for COMFORT. This car ROCKS!

  • @CHMPro

    I disagree with review. This cars as good as you get for a small suv and sports performance. The space is a lot for it's size. I'm 6ft tall and it's fine. The legroom is not bad if The driver is not too stingy on legroom. The mileage is also not bad at all too. What do you expect for 300+ horse Power and instant up n go? Also if this car was flat end I'd pass up. It's pretty because of the slope. If you want weak car with mileage per gallon go buy a Toyota Corolla. Oh that has less space by the way and power. This was and is still the prettiest, roomiest, fastest and luxurious model ever made up to date. I don't like qx, fx or any other suv. Ugly, huge and is too VANSIZED.

      @@everymandriver I know 7 years huh. Thanks RUclips algorithm. I just saw this This year. subbed. Anyways I just bought an ex37. I thought I shared my opinion too. I love this vehicle's complete design. It tries and achieved almost all you want in a vehicle imo but as with all things, you can't exactly have it small or have it all which is what I love about this car. They came close. I owned a supra, Celica, Toyota Van, Corolla, & a civic. Man this baby blew them all away. Nice review though and why i bought it.

    I agree the backseat sucks. But cargo space is a more fair comparison with a hatchback as this EX37 isn't as tall as most SUVs.

    I'd have to agree with the assessments. Infiniti makes a great engine(love the growl) and offers a sporty ride but this vehicle doesn't seem to know what it is. I defintiely see this remaining a niche market crossover.

      I just traded my GS350 in for the QX50. The Lexus is a great car and my GS350 was flawless for 7 years, but was time to get out of it and I wanted a hatchback with fold down seats. LOVE the QX50. The MDX looks too soccer mommish and I hate the grilles on it and the current Lexus crossovers. The MDX looks like it has a bird beak on front and the Lexus looks like it has a train cattle scoop on front. Ugh. I really love this QX50 and will probably drive it through it's warranty and evaluate what's next.
