I love the daily show Trevor.. you are the most talented comedian from Southern Africa..... I hope you will interview me one day, when I finally achieve my dreams of being the first musician from Zambia to perform at O2 area that's sold out... keep it up..
Love how much more comfortable he was in this interview comparatively to the others. I'm glad he's doing the press round for the Umbrella Academy since his transition is handled beautifully in the show, in the first two episodes. You could tell that the scenes of him coming out to his adopted family and her mindset to finally went to through the transition were genuine. This is the best representation in the media I've seen yet. While I believe Elliot might not have asked to be the next public face of this community when he went through this very personal transformation, it is unavoidable but he's handling it really well despite being so painfully awkward, even before all of this. I wish him all the success in the world since he has start to come into his own self and build confidence to use his boundless talent to the fullest now.
Is it handled at all? It is him cutting his hair and then telling the others to be okay with that, which unsurprisingly they are because nothing could be more awkward than the wig he was forced to wear before. To me it felt like one of the biggest missed opportunities to either use it as a compelling story line or make it normal enough to fly under the radar entirely without any virtue signalling. Then again the strength of the show never has been the writing, so no surprise there.
@@Schmidtelpunkt Well, sure. There was an opportunity to use the transition more directly in the storyline but I would surmise that it was Elliot himself that would not want to use it far more than just the surface level. It may be his personal decision to touch upon the coming out aspect of the transition only, and not too comfortable to use it for more than that. It might be viewed as a disingenuous pandering if not handled properly. I would argue that the writing has been great, at least for me i.e. Victor's need to lead the family and Allison's slow descent into madness.

Where has everyone been. He has had abs long before he came out and started physically transitioned. They have definitely gotten more jacked since, but he’s always been fit.
Spoiler if you haven't seen the latest season, but I thought it was so appropriate that "I heard a rumor" wasn't needed toward the end. Allison's power was to manifest things with her words, or maybe even just her mind. The beginning of the "spell", "I heard a rumor..." seemed to be more of an internal mantra for Allison herself. She's not a mentalist. The prologue isn't to convince or influence the target, it's to activate her own ability, within herself. So it made a lot of sense that eventually she wouldn't need to speak it out loud to get it going, as she developed. And if her power were only about convincing someone to do something, then I'd stop there. But she can "rumor" someone's body into doing something _beyond_ what can be accomplished just by convincing. She can make things happen to you that you can't make happen to yourself. Therefore it seems reasonable that at some point the rest of the invocation might not be necessary either. But (spoilers) that seems moot at this point anyway.
Really cool hearing Elliot's opinions on how the character of Vanya/Victor was handled. I was honestly concerned when I saw that Vanya transitioned to Victor, mostly because it has become a bit of a trend for popular shows/movies to hop onto hot topic issues and pander to certain target audiences. That aspect comes across as very disingenuous to me. That said, the way that Umbrella Academy season 3 handled it was fantastic. They were able to almost seamlessly incorporate it into the story without beating the audience over the head with it shoving it down our throats. The interactions that the now Victor had with the other family members was a perfect amount of discussion and it was definitely uplifting to see how each character accepted/reacted in their unique own way. Top notch!
I absolutely agree with you. The only thing I want to add is that I wanted someone to react more realistically. Just to see it handled in a way that ends up benefitting both characters and the audience. There’s always ppl in your family or friends group who will have more questions or even be upset because they think they’re losing [Vanya] the person and getting a new person [Viktor]. I have no negative comments, just wanted to see at least one person in Umbrella not just shrug it off as if it isn’t a big deal.
Yeah, VR is great for workouts actually ^^ I wholeheartedly recommend Stride, it's my daily workout. The game is basically a Mirror's Edge knock-off, but a great one at that, so you do Parcours in VR, running by shaking your arms - it's just cool and a workout at the same time. (and better on Quest 2 than on PSVR, I started playing it on PSVR and then got the quest to play it with better controls, with sticks and stuff). I'm not selling Stride or anything, just a big fan ^^
Viktor was generally happy in this season than Vanya in the other seasons. It reflected the fact that Elliot had come home to himself😍. It was so so beautiful to watch.

It's amazing to see how he's grown as a person and as a man.
But (spoilers) that seems moot at this point anyway.
i really needed that laughing pill. amazing conversation
Love Elliot. The fact we both workout on Supernatural is pretty cool.
Thats a female !
Have you tried Supernatural? I've been doing it over a year now and it's also a ton of fun.

Love him and his art!
Viktor was generally happy in this season than Vanya in the other seasons. It reflected the fact that Elliot had come home to himself😍. It was so so beautiful to watch.
Wow, Eliot Page is the first person who is able to sell me VR. This fitness app sounds so much fun.
At least he kept the questions completely banal, so we didn't have to see this (incredibly happy) man bursting into tears again.
