Hi! Do you think human is viable in terms of damage? Or must be a half-orc? Thanks!

*video edited to remove spoiler cinematic and see only combat*
At first i thought Larian nerfed Ansur the Undead Bronze Dragon (600 health points to 520) but after downloading a save from nexus it appears my save was the problem.
Anyway they should buff the big bosses in tactician !
Martial Exertion Gloves were useless in this situation. Legacy of the Masters was a better choice.

True. I played more on the casual side with some videos watched. My barbarian paladin karlach 2 shot gortash with the sword i acquired from this fight, so op. it took few more rounds than this for ansur but it wasn't really a challenge either. Thief rogue fighter asterion with handcrossbows deals 200 dmg per round sometimes.
Raphael was still quite exciting tho.
I and probably many other leave bosses to later stages, as we are encouraged to do everything in the game before progressing. When time comes we are way too strong.
It might have been a challange if we had to face these bosses as soon as we begin act3, but that is not şogical either.

It depends a lot on items from act 2 and 3, see description.
Paladin is a strong class with very good burst damage, good constant damage and good tanking (heavy armor and auras). You can go with Devotion (classic good) or vengeance (neutral/good) or Oathbreaker (evil).

    Do you have build guide

You can check the description, start with 16 str 10 dex 16 con 8 int 10 wis 14 cha and when you have at least 12 elixir of hill giant strength (ethel sells 3 of them and refresh her shop after every long rest and levelup) you can respec to 8 14 16 8 10 17. With 21 str and smite Paladin start to land nice hits.
Items are important check Ketheric video to have an idea for end of act 2.
