Well, the pumpkin was just a random pic off of google, and I don't think the pic of the stained glass is famous, either, so... he was probably just simplifying the premise to save time.

I think I had it figured out petty quickly. The AI tends to over blend everything, so I just looked for an overly smooth picture. That being said, the bowls took me a sec. Did you guys know Ludwood *made* that bowl in the right? Yeah...

3:44 as someone who had to Analyse this picture for hours in an exam and redraw in my own way for art class i can proudly say that the left is a drawing by Casper David Friedrich from 1818 and is called Wanderer Im Nebelmeer. It’s also made up of a bunch of real mountains in Germany that the artist used as reference. It’s a really famous drawing and lots of people interpret the gaze of the wanderer as longing. Also the Color scheme is just a pure masterpiece on its own.
It’s a gorgeous painting, to be sure

You can definently tell that the real one has a bit more variety in color and has a less simplistic look. It’s honestly pretty cool.

I was patting myself on the back for knowing that one. I did an art assignment on his garden at giverny painting in 7th grade, so it looked familiar.

my theory on why the pumpkin had a letter A on it I think the AI took images from Shutterstock
and the AI picked the worst spot to get some pumpkin data from
so that means it possibly clipped the watermark

This video’s sole purpose is to let everyone know Ludwig made that bowl
I got all of them right. The way you know is by looking at how the colours are blended together. In the reals, you can see brush strokes and the way the shading happens is consistent throughout the picture. However, in the ai pictures, some parts of the picture blends together while others you can see lines trying to simulate brush strokes/object border.
i always forget that 1000 dollars is not necessarily the same level of pocket change to every streamer as it is to ludwig. will seemed almost as excited for the prize as i would be, i'm really happy for him.
The bowl is easy since you can see the lines from it being handmade

anybody can use dall-e mini you just have to make an account. when i signed up there was no waiting list or anything. The commercial version that doesn’t censor faces isnt open to the public though if thats what you mean
Will's right - I can see this as a game show, or at least a round on a broader game show
The amazing thing about this AI is, that there is a second version of it, which is much better called Dalle-2. But it isnt available for public right now. Google also "released" its version, still not for the public, but how its works, called imagen. A more artistic Approach you can also use for free, for a few tries, which is really good is called Midjourney. (Its a discord bot). For anyone interested in this topic :D

We once took an art class and realized that there’s a whole science to these crappy abstract paintings and ways to objectively quantify their quality. It’s still stupid and ugly, but it’s weird to know that you could make some scribble that look like those fancy expensive paintings and still have it be thought of as terrible.
