The MMA's are the Melon Music Awards. I believe Melon is a streaming service and online store in South Korea. BTS is the biggest group in the world. Keep in mind this is not a BTS concert, it's an award show performance. The Korean award shows put American award shows to shame in my opinion. MMA 2020 was good too, but there were no fans because of covid and Suga was missing because he was recovering from shoulder surgery. I really liked MMA 2018 too. Some parts of this performance were pre-recorded to give them some time to rest. One of the members (Jimin) said he felt like throwing up after this performance because of how hard they went. Only 2 members (Jimin and J-Hope) actually had dance training before joining BTS. If BTS performed like this at an American award show it would be over. I would love for BTS to have a Superbowl performance, but I know that would never happen. And while I appreciate you comparing them to Michael Jackson/the Jackson 5, I wouldn't call them clones as they are their own but I know you meant no disrespect.
    Here is the set list
Intro: Persona- solo by RM (2019)
    Boy In Luv (2014)
    Boy With Luv (2019)
    Mikrokosmos (2019)
    Songs during their solos
V (vocalist)- No More Dream (2013)
    Jin (vocalist)- Danger (2014)
    Jimin (vocalist)- I Need U (2015)
    Suga (rapper)- Fire (2016)
    Jungkook (vocalist)- Save Me (2016)
    J-Hope (rapper)- Fake Love (2018)
    RM (rapper)- Dionysus (2019)
The final song is Dionysus (2019) and during the dance break there is an instrumental of their song N.O (2013). I believe their solos also represent 7 different Greek gods too.

Ok thanks for the information, I really appreciate you making a list for me!! Yes, you get it. Though they were heavily influence by Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, in my opinion, they are not exact "clones" but have they're own style and sound, most definitely!!! You definitely know about BTS!! Thanks again and have a great day!!

Don't forget that as far as Jimin feeling that way, might have been because his solo, which was a mix of contemporary dance, some martial arts flips thrown in, as well as traditional Korean dance, dressed in all white, was because Jimin was the only one that performed his solo live!! Right before the grand finale of the performance of Dionysus. Jimin had to rush back stage and change as well as come up for air! All the others solos were prerecorded live previously. So yeah, that might have been a good reason why he felt that way and almost collapsed as soon as they got off stage, but so did the rest of the members because every single member gave this whole perfromance their all, & then some, just like they have previous yrs, as well as they do with every single performance as well as their concerts that last over 2 1/2 hrs!! BTS so deserve to be at the very top because they all are so beyond another level!!!

Cool thing is this is only one of the year end award shows they performed at that year. They prepared for this stage and all the others while on tour and while working on their music. Its ok if someone doesn't like their music but you really can't deny the hard work and effort they put in to their passion. Anyone can and probably should respect at least that. Where they stand today is truly a testament to the work they put in. I'm always in constant awe of their grind which translates to their many achievements.

I just watched your reaction to this and actually woke my husband up from laughing so loud!! I wear headphones but my laughter woke him up!! I just discovered you and saw a couple of your reactions!! I know you had said your sister had turned you on to BTS and when you said she is 64 I just laughed because I am a white 74 year old wife, mother and grandmother who is completely obsessed with BTS. I love them because they are breaking down barriers between all races!! Their fan base, which is called Army, is the biggest in the world!!!!! These guys are helping to bring the world together in the best way ever!! When you got to the part in the final song and you said your sister had to have been loving BTS that is when I laughed the loudest because you were saying how they had everything, singing, dancing, production, sound!! The one thing you never mentioned which almost all the women no matter our age and a lot of the guys I have seen do reactions go absolutely crazy over is their drop dead looks!! When you add all that talent to seven fine looking guys how can you go wrong!!!!! And they are wonderful human beings on top of it all!! I love your introduction music, that soft jazz, even that street and the lighting just get to me!! Great job!! Beautiful!! I want to make a recommendation for you to watch and react to Singularity by V of BTS!! Try to make sure you watch the official MV(music video). All the guys do songs of their own and often they appear on the albums!! V loves old time American R&B and Jazz and the song Singularity really reflects that!! I think you would like it!! Keep up the good work I really have enjoyed your reactions!! Thanks

The cost of the production for BTS entertainment company BigHit, was over 500K dollars, and all the in-house production team of BigHit started planning it over half a yr beforehand! Also most of the rehearsal time that BTS had was while they were touring worldwide. But they all were quite into doing this, and somehow managed to fit in the rehearsal like they did the yr before.
All the solo performances were prerecorded live with smaller audience the day before, since there was no way to have these stage sets and tank pool of water let alone have JK who was performing the dance in water get dried and change clothes beforehand! The only one who performed live was Jimin who you mentioned, as being the professional dancer which he was before even signing on to BTS, in all white. Also certain songs like Mikrokosmos was performed live beforehand and also prerecorded so they could also allow for the special effects that only people who saw the broadcast on TV in South Korea or had it stream worldwide could see that version. Also the part with the live horses was filmed beforehand without an audience. I do hope you'll also see the previous yrs 2018 MMA performance of BTS called Who Are You?!

Jimin, the one dancing in white was in a professional arts school, top of his class in modern dance when he auditioned for the music label and got chosen at the age of 15-16. He was THAT good. Also he’s trained in multiple martial arts including a black belt in karate and kendo.
“We don’t get this in the US”. As someone from the US who’s been watching the MMA and MAMA asian music awards for BTS they make the Grammy awards look like a kindergarten graduation. Asian awards shows go on for 4+ hours and are no joke. Please react to BTS on MMA 2018.

Here's info that some still aren't aware of:
❤️JIMIN, at age 11-12 started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! But Jimin was so good that he was assigned the official title of one of the two Main Dancers, as well as Lead Vocalist. Jimin was even assigned most of the high notes since the very beginning, because even without all that training in the beginning, he was that good, a natural born singer who, just like his dancing makes you feel every emotion and feeling he's trying to convey!
JIMIN, also, for 8 yrs, since a quite young boy, trained in various forms (4), of martial arts: Taekwondo (Blackbelt), Hapkido, Kumdo (Korean form of Kendo), & Chinese martial arts. He even won a scholarship, the only student to do so, to study more extensively in China for awhile! All the martial arts training has given JIMIN his phenomenal inner core strength, as well as his amazing flexibility, which has enabled Jimin to achieve all those breathtakingly spectacular gravity defying dance moves! JIMIN has found a way to incorporate all his various dance disciplines, as well as his extensive training in martial arts into his unique, ever so special, outstandingly amazing dancing abilities!!
JIMIN, has been called 'Stage Commander', known for his amazing, so mesmerizing stage presence. Each dance move is executed flawlessly, his extensions all the way to the fingertips, his lines so clean, his fluidity, his poise & elegance, his ever so graceful moves, but yet, sharp, quick & deliberate when required! He focuses on every detail! Known for his work ethics and being a perfectionist to a fault, spending hours in the practice room, will study every move, even focusing on hands to fingertips. Even his facial expressions, or the look in his eyes! Every single detail he focuses on. Jimin tends to take in the music and interprets all the emotion & feelings, whatever it's trying to convey through his body movements as well as his vocals.
JIMIN has won the prestigious titles for 2 yrs in a row for both KING OF KPOP, as well as also winning BEST TOP #1 DANCER IN KPOP, now 3 yrs in a row, as well!! Jimin is also referred to as "Rookie's Bible" because all rookie idols, try to emulate & study every move he makes, trying to learn from him! Aside from all that Jimin has won other countless award, broken many records. His 5 solos have broken charting records worldwide, as well as being top seller, plus most listened to. Also breaking records for being #1 branding marketing idol, every single month for now over two & half yrs, a feat never achieved before, and still ongoing! The term the "Jimin Effect" is now in the Urban Dictionary! So much more as well but will stop here.

As many ARMY and people would say, BTS is their genre. You really can't put them in one group. And that is one, of many, reasons they are so loved and respected. They also have many influences. They do love MJ but they don't have any one artist or group that has influenced them. They influence themselves. RM and Suga have written many many songs and the other members have all contributed as well. You really need to watch some of their guides if you want to really know and understand them better. Their music has very deep meanings and they speak up for many causes and difficulties. It's very hard to give all the info about them in a comment, lol. They have also already broken many records as well. Including one set by MJ and the Beatles. The guides I like the most are This Is BTS: Introduction pt1 by Xceleste, and The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: Story Of BTS 2021 updated by Asian Theory. And to hear more of their range in genres I would suggest Airplane 2, Fake Love, Mic Drop Remix with Steve Aoki, Black Swan, ON Kinetic Manifesto, Save Me, DNA, and No More Dream, to name a few. And they all have done solo projects as well. and last most of their MV's do have closed captions so you are able to read the lyrics which is good because their lyrics are usually meaningful and clever. Hope this helps and I really hope you will watch a guide soon. Thank you 💜💜💜

If you look for MVs or performances turn on CCs in ENG for subtitles!!
People get a certain amount of minutes based on the number of awards they win. They did this because they won every award that they were eligible to win!!
The first song is old "Boy in Luv" you can see MV with subtitles
The 2nd song is "Boy with Luv" which was the 2018 reboot with Halsey and also has an MV with subtitles.
The 3rd song is "Mikrokosmos" and you can find the English lyric video version on RUclips.
The song "Dionysus" at the end you can find the lyric version on RUclips also.
This performance was epic, but so was 2018 MMA and 2017 MAMA

Jimin who many have compared to MJ as well as Prince is the one you talked about being a professional dancer, dressed in white. Here's info about JIMIN, that some still aren't aware of:

Kindly notice RM raps here in Korean and English. (He also raps in Japanese. ). Yes, BTS is the biggest in the world. Their last albums have been number one in over 100 countries. Their first piece, is one of their earliest. I mix up the names. Then Boy with Love, Mikrokosmos, Dionysus (Greek God of Wine) a few minutes, dance is Jimin to I Need You, Fire (few minutes), dance to Save Me with Jungkook, Fake Love is mentioned, Back to Dionysus.(a comment: this is Asia. You will see representations and productions very different). This is for an awards show.
You asked for a recommendation: On Kinetic Manifesto , Lie (live).

It is easily the most intense and longest performance I’ve ever seen for a darn music awards show even. After seeing Asian awards shows ours are well pathetic. They always have parts that are pre-recorded usually when they have the space for their rehearsal they do their live performances that will be shown on the screen. But as it is shown on the screen, if they are done being cooled down and dried off for the next stage they are doing full production, they will do a performance that sync’s up with the big screens on a bare stage. There are true advantages to being there to see them live at an award show because you get exclusive fan cams of those pared down performances. During that first song the beginning part was prerecorded, and it switched to full production stage when he went through the door, but he was standing in his suit on the at stage performing the whole thing before his lights came up so the flow would be right. It’s really a testament to their awesome stage production team that they are able to put together these awesome showcases.

The initial part when RM was rapping the song Persona before he took off the coat to reveal the suit he was backstage with his performance projected on the big screen. I wish I could hang out with your sister. I miss getting together with my other middle-aged ARMY friends and eating and drinking soju! BTS brings the strangest combination of people together and it's awesome.
Honestly, that MMA stage was a mite self-indulgent, but they had a few points to make - and they made them well.
I'd like to recommend any of the performances from the Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show "BTS Week" last year, Idol, Home, and Black Swan. They also did Mikrokosmos, but you just saw that here. They pre-recorded in Korea because of Covid, and the stage design and concepts blew everything western out of the water. Our artists really need to get their act together!
So many choices! Glad you're open to anything.
If you want to hit up some old favorite b-sides without videos, try Paradise, Pied Piper, Magic Shop, 134340, Outro: Wings, House of Cards, Answer: Love Myself, and We On.
Hope you give one or more a try!

Such a fun reaction! First video I have watched of yours. I am a 35 y/o ARMY from US who found BTS at the end of 2017. I was always more drawn to rock/alternative rock but I have never felt for a musical act like I do for BTS. And I have gone to over 30 rock shows with at least 10 having multiple groups (minimum, prolly more lol), seen Disturbed 7 times, Breaking Benjamin at least 10, and countless others harder and softer. On top of a bunch others in different genres. Yet BTS resonates with each piece of myself at some point in their discography. I have also never seen such hard work, dedication, growth, talent, diversity, and a billion others things all in one group. Thank you for the great content and i hope you enjoyed this performance as much as I did. Have a great day!

A little background on Korean award shows:
Award show season is in December- January timeframe, so Korean artists prep months before. The thing that is so amazing, is the fact that each award show performance is different. A artist could only have a 3 minute set, but each time they will do something different from the last performance.

The third song, which you described as pop, was Boy With Love which they originally performed with Halsey. You can hear her on the backing track. Jimin, in white, trained in contemporary dance, Jungkook in black, in the water, trained in dance while as a trainee at BigHit but he's a fast learner and has aquired a lot of skills from Jimin and dance captain, J-Hope. J-Hope was a street dancer winning national contests. Rappers RM and SUGA were both underground rappers before joining BTS. They are the principal songwriters for BTS. SUGA is involved in the production of their music. There's over a million dollars in the LED screens alone.
