Interesting ! There must be gold if they started a stope, they got interested by something. It would be a good idea sample the quartz under on the floor under the gravel too.
Funny you should say that. While filming, I banged my noggin on the adit back a few times. I cut those out because I don’t like to cry on film. I was wearing a good hat though, so I was protecting my last 3 brain cells.

What is the darker colored rock between the layers of quartz?
We call it shart. Probably hornblende, marcasite and platypus placenta. Although I’m not 100% sure about the last one.
Have you tested for gold?
Not today. I will tomorrow. Robert was pressure washing the rest of the adit today. Now the mine looks brand new.
