ABOUT CHICAGO FIRE
From Emmy-winning executive producer Dick Wolf and co-creator Derek Haas comes Season 10 of the drama "Chicago Fire." This adrenaline-fueled ride is a look into the lives of Firehouse 51's firefighters and paramedics as they risk their lives to save and protect the citizens of Chicago.
Led by Capt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney), the Truck and Rescue Squad companies are more than co-workers, they're family.
The firehouse includes Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer), seasoned veterans Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and Randy "Mouch" McHolland (Christian Stolte), firefighters Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso), Blake Gallo (Alberto Rosende) and Darren Ritter (Daniel Kyri), and 51's newest addition paramedic Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith).

Severide saying goodbye to Casey made me smile and cry at the same time. Those two had such a great arc together
Believe me, it’s been an interesting road, they started in the series from good friends, then Andy died, they argued, and then bit by bit, they came to be the best of friends we had for years

Casey was the heart and soul of the house. Everyone looked to him for leadership and advice no matter if it was truck, engine, or squad, even boden leaned on Casey.

That's one of the reasons I just love this Series. They all are humans just like us. They make us feel that we are there. That we are part of it. And mostly, because they are bonded like a tight family. They love and care about eachother. They are together as one.
That’s what great story development and great actors are suppose to do. This is the formula tv shows should be following instead of trying to be woke.
The beauty of the way this goodbye was written was that it was for Casey, but it was more for Jesse. Notice how when Boden spoke, he never said "Casey", and everything else that was said could have easily been for Casey on the show and Jesse in real life. The words were real, and this is why Chicago Fire is such a brilliant show.

@project863clips5 to be fair PD and Med haven't been the same in a while. Fire and Med I love those more a bit more than PD; just because we have so many police TV shows. Also Antonio and Jay were my 2 favorites. Med was good for a bit but when Connor Rhodes, Nathalie Manning, Choi, and April left it wasn't the same. Fire I think for me personally has been the one that constantly gets better with great new characters, but it does feel weird without Casey, Gabby, Mills, Shay, Foster and Otis. I will say this Otis on some occasions was not my favorite. Jimmy Borelli and Chilli were never my favorites and they were really annoying
I only started watching Chicago Fire a few years ago and recently I've been catching up on the earlier years on Peacock. Didn't realize I'd missed so many shows.
The way they wrapped this whole thing up, but at the same time left gaps for future developments is actually phenomenal, and not exactly easy for a series drama.
