I like the idea of how characters responding to the death of someone can be utilized. I'm a guy who has no trouble crying in emotional movies. I've written some scenes where I've sobbed over characters I became very attached to. But for me the most painful 'death' is that scene of departing where the characters in love know they'll never see each other again. But it's a subtle one to marinade for the full emotional impact.

Oof! Yes, those scenes can be just as gut wrenching as actual deܘth scenes 😭
