Fun fact: my Shadowheart was the last one to leave, just next to the last ladder when throne collapsed. i thought i lost her. But she was equipped with lathanders blood which heals on death, so she was respawned on a beach with other washed out bodies :D cool detail imo
What's so cracked about Arcane Battery is that the effects are character bound, not party bound. This is absolutely insane for summons as you literally get 2 level 6 spell slot summons (if you have the Staff of Spellpower and Markoheshkir) PER character. Just make sure to toggle the effect on, cast the summon, swap out to another staff, rinse and repeat for every character to have EIGHT level 6 summon spells for FREE.
For the most annoying party to control in combat … >,< no actually this is great I didn’t realise it was character bound will definitely use it… for buffs only… XD I can barely stand having to control one maybe 2 summons. I went with a necromancer build for Gale once heavily relying on having a shit ton of summoned undead at all times and I regretted it so very much 😂
for cazadors palace, you dont need to do that jump or fly thing. that waypoint is on a building/tower. you can go inside that tower/building and just walk up for sorcerers sundries you dont have to jump/teleport out of the tower. there is floating furniture inside the tower so you dont have to take fall damage/spend resources
Even easier way to get to the Balduran dungeon zone is to go to the other beach on the island (opposite side from the jail storeroom cracked wall entrance). There’s a little tiny pipe that allows either wild-shaped druids, reduced small-sized characters, or (the way I used) gaseous formed characters to travel up into the area past the two dragon heads. Allows you to skip the jail if you want.
Oh ... right ... that's what I've been missing in the game ... XP .... Every time you walk 5 feet in Act three you discover something that gives you hundreds of XP ... You max out level so quickly in Act 3 it's crazy!
In the Devil's Fee, you can sneak upstairs without doing any of the dialogue options and all of the ritual materials will be in the chests or on the desks/tables around the area. Hope this helps!
Some corridors in the iron throne have heat sensors in them - once you have got all the prisoners out of a particular zone, throw a firebolt / alchemist fire / etc on them and blast doors will lock out the hostiles.
For the Iron Throne, having potions of flying handy helps out a lot. Fly essentially doubles your movement, so you get to the levers faster. This paired with potion of speed (and a dimension door scroll to save our VIP) let me solo the entire thing and have only 2 of the gnodians die, while cleaning out all the chests.
I had all my characters kitted with misty step and a handful of dimension door/misty step scrolls, I also prioritized my thief rogue astarion to get omeluum and the chests so my other 3 characters can get everyone else to the sub safely
7:25 another great buff is if you use a sorcerer's twinned spell it doesnt burn sorcery points. I can twin spell chain lightning twice. In the first two turns i can deal up to 160 damage to 6 people. Basically wiping the field. It has been so broken. Im cleaning bosses in the first two turns
4:45 what is it you discover anywhere in the game that suggests the lightning on the dragon thing for this puzzle? If no one told you where to go and what to do ... how would you find this? I definitely remember exploring that cave. I didn't see anything that suggested casting spells at random torches on the wall.
I was thinking the exact same thing... its like walking down the street in real life and you suddenly compelled to shit yourself but instead of holding it in like a sane person you do the crazy thing and actually shit yourself and it randomly opens a hole to a hidden toilet.. and then you think to yourself... After i took down the steel watch, which was before i went to the iron throne it caused the duke to be pronounced dead, and florrick showed up to beat wylls ass but a history check got her to tell me about the wyrm beneath the city then wyll expanded with what he knew and thats how i knew about the sparks, from a bards poem.
I didn't complete all the puzzles to the giant slayer sword. I missed up and destroyed the shadow paintings because I didn't know what to do. It cause a bunch of undead to pop up, but the door that leads to asnur opens after.
You can find all the items you need to open the portal to the house of hope laying around the Devil's Fee. I haven't tested if you can open the portal without the quest yet but it seems like you should. Why else would the Devs give you all the required items?
i like to get the items in house of hope in the beginning of act 3 to gear up my group since the items u get are just such a mind breaking way to make act 3 easy (house of hope is easy if u play necromancer but thats just a personal opinion since i couldnt do house of hope easily with paladin)
If you're having trouble with the iron throne . Trust me use speed potions . On your last turn with the effect you can move , use two actions . Then take another potion . And you'll have next turn
For Halsik, I found that I could pay her (I talked her down to 10k), then pickpocket the gold off her. I had almost zero chance, but she never turned hostile so I just kept trying over and over. This does NOT work after you get back from the House of Hope though, she goes hostile immediately.
Helsik has warlock unique dialogue and she gave me a discount with no problem and because I found a book detailing how orin and gortash stole the crown I had access to her better items
i was able to go blindly on the house of hope but it was a mess. from releasing hope from the chains to killing raphael. I was lucky enough to able to use hold creature at raphael and destroy the pillar before the spell worn out. The fight was sooooo goood from the bgm to the fight itself!
He one shot Hope every time for me and I had to reset like 6 Times until I used hold creature (didn't do it before becasue I aussumed he would save). It lasted the entire fight, he didn't get a single turn in (reclassed Wyll to Sorcerer with 17 Con. No war caster though. Don't know how he held concentration while being bombarded with scorching rays from all the devils)
Oh it should be know going for the giant slayer at the start of act 3 will bug Wyll out I’m assuming until you save the person who was supposed to send you in there
The Iron Throne is one of the best scenarios I have ever experienced in a video game. I got all but 2 out. I made it out on the last turn. Paladin Druid Cleric Ranger Story mode. ----------------- I’m in act 1 of second play through. Main this time is dual wield fighter/thief. I’m hoping I’ve learned enough about the game and that my party is strong enough when I return to the Iron Throne. On my 3rd play through I will do tactician. This game is so awesome. 😂
The legenday helmet might be bugged i was using it and at the top of the castle where gortash get inaugurated i triggerd a trap and was stunned not sure why
Act 3 side quests are still super buggy. Having just started to clear them out, the Monk Quest and Letter quest are permanently bugged for me. Only because I aquired items and did quests in the wrong order. It is quickly becoming obvious how unfinished act 3 is from a performance, content ( voice acting ), and specifically quest perspective. This act still needs a great deal of work. As far as your companion side commentary, considering all of the major story decisions being made and the important areas you are finally experiencing, the fact your companions have so little to say, is very stark in comparison to act 1 and 2. It seems logical that your companions would have even more commentary while exploring than any previous act. I hope that extending the world commentary are part of Larian's plans. At the same time, I understand that would require an immense amount of more VO. Fingers crossed, because if they do manage to bring act 3 up to and past act 1 and 2, this will be an all time great game without qualification.
Just a question for the community, i will get Baldurs Gate next weak and my question is, is it possible to create a Sung Jin Woo like Rouge Necromancer? amd what are some of the biggest/steongest things you can summon/resurect
There are a few spells that let you smmon and class features. There is a special necromancy book/quest that canet you speak eith dead and later summon a group of ghouls. I was browsing mods the other day and noticed one that improved necromancy and had some stuff like craft flesh golem. So at some point you will get even more cool stuff if you are willing to use mods. With that being said, you could be a necromancy wizard, spore druid, rogue combo.

@@rantalmore after breaking Wylls deal the first time, I encountered a situation where if I went to iron throne Duke was dead on arrival. I long rested before going and mizora appears to offer a new deal. When I didn’t take that, once again dead on arrival and the new deal becomes bring him back from the dead.
i think she is still alive because she has magic mushrooms in her lair in baldurs gate that make her immortal until they are killed.. so she was only sleeping as fine red mist
man that dragon fight was dissapointing I think my party was too geared when I went down there. Killed him in one turn with several characters and summons un used.

There is one legendary no one seems to know about and that is from hope herself. She is a cleric and she can use her 1 time god intervention to be gifted a legendary mace that passivel heals. Just disarm her and pick it up.

i can really appreciate the slight nudge in these directions, very important stuff happens in these spots and missing out on them would be unfortunate

I did the same on my first playthrough. When I talked to the final Statue with gale in my party, he made a little rhyme about us cheating.

So for Cazzador's palace you dont need to do all that jumping to get up the building the waypoint is connected to is a tower to get up on the wall.

Raphael is a Cambion Devil. Demons tend to be chaotic evil, Raphael abhors chaos

So this might be weird but duke ravengard's sword can be obtained by stealing it from him at camp and it is great
You can pickpocket the items off of helsik and get the portal open without any trouble

It might be possible but it'll mostly be necromancy damage spells until you can use sum like Animate Dead

If you don't renew, then daddy raven will be dead on arrival. The game doesn't let you save his dad without Mizora deal.
