  • These are not your average stick figure! Today we will draw stick figures with shapes for the main parts of the body in different poses. Stick figures like these can be helpful for drawing realistic figures. Ideally we would draw a skeleton and study anatomy, however, the stick figure with shapes for the head, torso and pelvis are still helpful. You can draw the stick figure anyway you like.
Homework - Draw 5 Stick figures in motion (sports, dance, yoga, etc)
We would love to see your work

This art style has definitely helped me with starting my art, because it's like an endoskeleton, but I've found that shapes have made me reach my full potential. Great video!

I came to a Jojo convention. There were poses and gestures which I never even thought were possible.

Thank you for this. I was working to figure out a way to memorize body movements, body position for various workouts & I feel that, just like writing does better at memorizing things & so does writing or drawing a workout would. I just needed an easy & effective way. This can be it. Thank you. I would give this a try.

Could you maybe show us how you draw a realistic skeleton? I've started to learn the different body parts but learning them is different from drawing them. Despite having some art experience, for the love of me I CANNOT draw figures of any kind. Especially people. Down to the bones. I'm losing hope...
