    I had 2 reborn sand I had never touched a silicone baby. So, before buying a full silicone, cuz the price are more expensive, I bought my first full silicone a 12 inches baby full silicone to see if I love the medium. And I fall in love with the silicone medium and now, I always buy FBS . I have a crying baby like yours and I love her like a fool!! Continue your good work, Tasha.

    Yes I do ask someone what the price, and where they got it, if there's something I love that someone else has.
    Also, a note, there is no such thing as silicone/vinyl, the two mediums should not mix.

      Hi, thanks for sharing.
      Yes, I have many videos up about the different mediums & explaining that silicone & vinyl can't be mixed. I guess when I said "your silicone or vinyl reborns," it sounded like I said silicone vinyl. But yes, there's no such thing. Chemically, they can not be mixed. Vinyl breaks down silicone.

    Yeah I need to know what the difference is when they say it’s silicone vinyl or that the ones that can move

    • @piximommysreborns
      @piximommysreborns  Год назад

      Silicone & vinyl are two materials that chemically can't be combined as vinyl breaks down silicone. So if you see "Silicone vinyl," it's likely a scam as many of these scammers do not know the difference or proper terms. There's no such thing as a silicone vinyl as it's not possible to be made with those two mediums.
      As far as ones that can move, I'm not sure if you mean how the silicone moves? Or if you're talking about a mechanical baby doll that can move on its own. That would probably be just a mechanical doll & not a reborn or silicone. I have seen reborn dolls with the breathing mechanism that's placed into the cloth body to make the chest rise & fall.
      There may be companies pioneering in robotics that have the capabilities to make extremely lifelike robotic dolls for movies & I think in the medical field, they have them for practice drills. But it's not something you see in vinyl reborn dolls & silicone dolls.
      Maybe I'll make a video explaining this. It's a good topic. Thanks for your questions 🥰

    Hello do the reborn non silicone dolls weigh more than the silicone dolls?

    • @piximommysreborns
      @piximommysreborns  Год назад

      It depends on how much weight is used in the reborn doll. Reborn dolls are weighted, usually with glass beads.
      Silicone dolls are all silicone & their weight depends on the size of the doll. A large reborn doll weighs very heavy and could weigh more than a small silicone doll. It really just depends on the doll.

    • @piximommysreborns
      @piximommysreborns  Год назад

      Hi, silicone & vinyl cause a chemical reaction together. The vinyl over time will break down the silicone. You should not put them together. This happens more over extended periods of time. It won't hurt if they touch for a second, but over time it will cause damage.
      Hope that gives you the answer your looking for.

    Tasha, do you remember that I have a baby who wears your name Tasha? It’s a Partial silicone baby? A way that people can buy a silicone a little bit less expensive there is a partial silicone. It’s a baby with the head and limbs with silicone and a cloth body. It’s more affordable.

    • @piximommysreborns
      @piximommysreborns  3 года назад +1

      Hi Claudette, oh yes I remember you telling me about your baby girl Tasha that is a partial silicone!
      I did talk about what a partial silicone is in this video, but yes your right they can be much more affordable then a full bodied silicone. Also since they're on a cloth body they are usually alot more snuggly & have nice movement to pose for photos! It's kind of like the best of both worlds getting to enjoy the feel of silicone & still having the cuddle factor of a reborn baby!
      Did I ever tell you that one of my Moms best friends name was Claude? Her son Thomas was my friend. They moved here from france when I was in first grade. Thomas did not speak a word of English when they got here. He was in my class. We became friends the first day he arrived. Somehow my Mom & Claude managed to set up a playdate even though Claude spoke little English at the time & my Mom spoke no French. They became very good friends! We spent alot of time with them when I was little 😍

I mean some people take these dolls to the store and stuff and behave like their actual children but their dolls I just cant figure it out like I understand collecting things but this seems like a different level w these dolls someone please explain this to me.

    • @piximommysreborns
      @piximommysreborns  Год назад +1

      I do have some videos on my channel about understanding the reborn hobby & why some collectors role play.
      Ultimately, though, we don't always understand other people's hobbies & interests & that's ok.
      In short, adults play. Role play is just a form of entertainment & part of how some people enjoy the hobby. With social media a thing these days, many of us enjoy making role-play videos to entertain others.
      I haven't seen any collectors that actually believe these dolls are real. I'm sure there are a few mentally disturbed folks out there, but on average, what you're seeing is just people having fun & acting for the camera.
      It's like people who collect & show cars. They spend a lot of money, they buy different accessories, they go to car shows & have friends who also enjoy cars. Some folks race them. They like to get on the track like they're a professional racer. They film it & post on their social media.
      Some are into sports. They play every day. They spend money & are very involved in the sport they enjoy.
      Some love to collect designer handbags. They take them out & show them off.
      Some of us that collect dolls enjoy taking them out & showing them off too. The point of these dolls is the hyper realism in the art. So, putting them in props such as strollers, car seats, and cribs adds to making them look real.
      Personally, I don't understand those people who make those food videos. "I think it's called muck bang or something like that." Basically, they are eating as much as they can as fast as they can & putting it on social media. But it is a thing that some people seem to enjoy doing, lol
      Different strokes for different folks. That's what makes us unique as human beings & makes the world more interesting.
      Hobbies are generally a very healthy thing for people. You want to engage in activities that you really enjoy. It lowers stress levels, it can help with depression & can make a person more well-rounded. So don't ever worry about what the rest of the world thinks. If you find something you really enjoy & it's not hurting anyone, totally go for it! Have fun!
      Ps. I don't think it's your autism. Honestly, I get this question a lot. For some reason, people see playing with dolls as "crazy" when you're an adult. I don't really know why that is. It just could be that we were taught as children that when you get to a certain age, you shouldn't be "playing" with dolls anymore. It's kind of a stigma, but I think the more collectors that share on social media, the fewer people will see it as strange. No one seems to bat an eyelash at the people who have gaming channels & play video games. It's something a lot of us did as kids & some still like to play as adults.
      Anyways I hope that helps you a bit.
      My son is on the Autism spec. If he gets focused on understanding something in particular, he won't stop thinking about it until he can make sense of it. Sometimes, it's because he actually has an interest in something but needs to justify it before he will feel comfortable to do it himself.
      Asking questions is how we learn. You're not offending anyone by asking to understand something. If it does offend someone, it's their problem, not yours. So, no worries 🥰

    You have a youtube page dedicated to these dolls and you won't tell people how much you spent because you think it's rude? Knowing how much you spent on the dolls that you're showing us here would give us an idea of how much a doll like that might go for because the range is so wide. People absolutely ask others how much something costs, especially if they have an entire youtube page dedicated to that item. I don't understand how asking you how much your particular dolls cost is rude when you're showing them off to educate people about them. People do ask about prices for collectibles, especially on pages dedicated to said collectibles.

    • @piximommysreborns
      @piximommysreborns  Год назад

      Hello there, no, my channel is not at all dedicated to educating people on dolls. My channel is about me & sharing my joy of the dolls & entertaining others. I'm what's considered a public influencer on social media. I actually had to put a security system in my home & have been stalked more than once by people who have become obsessed with me. Sadly, it's the internet & there are all sorts of nuts out there online.
      I don't need or want anyone knowing the value of the things in my home.
      I take my time in every video to give the information of the sculptor & artist of every doll I share. I say it in the video & type it out in the description for those who are interested, so if they would like one of these dolls, they can contact the artist for pricing & availability.
      I agree & I think it's rude the collectors that share their collection on RUclips & then refuse to tell people the artist of the doll "which there are collectors that do that" but I certainly don't think any public influencer should feel obligated nor safe to disclose the costs of high end collectibles in there homes.
      Also not to mention that we buy & sell constantly on the second market in this hobby. Also, many artists hold private auctions as well. These are not factory made products where someone is giving a review & someone can just go order the product. These are entirely handmade works of art.
      RUclips is a worldwide public platform. Normally, people have respect for those they don't know in public. I would not walk up to a woman who's wearing a diamond ring & think "well she's wearing it in public for people to see, so it's ok to walk up & ask her how much the ring costed her". You might ask a friend privately. You might ask a stranger where they got something, but it is rude to ask them how much they paid for it.
      Hope those explanations help you understand. I don't not tell people how much I paid for a particular doll because I think it's rude they asked. I don't tell people what I paid for each doll in my collection because I feel my finances are a private thing & I don't feel obligated to the public to give personal information just because I'm sharing my dolls for entertainment in my hobby on my RUclips channel.
      Thank you though for sharing your thoughts. Comments are always welcomed even if it's a different opinion. I do understand where you're coming from .
      Have a wonderful weekend 🥰

      Yeah I know lol it can be an expensive hobby when you really get into the art & the ultimate realism, but you can find lovely reborn dolls very reasonably priced & even other types of dolls that can be similar & fun to collect like @ashtondrake or @paradisegallery
      I always say how the doll is weighted is very important because then it "feels real" in your arms. You can really weight any type of cloth body doll to your liking with some simple & inexpensive supplies.
      I will do a video about different options that are available for folks with pretty much any budget 😍
