Spirit Island in my home mountain park (Jasper National Park, Canada) - some years it's an island, some years it's a peninsula. In this image, it's a peninsula, which means the water level is lower than usual. Amazing realism. Totally! You're a master. P.S. I see that your source image has been taken post our pine beetle infestation in the park that has made so many (tens of thousands) pine trees turn red then die. They'll be green again in the next 60 or so years ;)

Like him, you spend a breathtaking amount of time on the details, except that MJS also paints over his paintings with oils after preparing them with acrylics, while you continue painting with acrylics. But this does not detract from the beauty, your paintings are masterpieces and extremely appealing. Nice atmospheric background, pleasant colors, the mountains look very majestic, the trees appear extremely realistic and the rocks look like rocks as long as you paint them. Yes, how long did this really take to complete? I was commissioned to do 4 bucks that the hunter shot and put them in a background of my choice and had to portrait the deer to look like his trophies and it took me about 30 hours to complete.

It looks like I am am there, at that place. There is a place like this in the country I live. Do you live in Alaska, US, Canada, Russia, Northern Europe, South America? All these places have such landscape in the colder parts of the world, even South America & Asia.
