I am an American working class man. I have fallen in love with Scriabin in general and these 24 preludes in particular. Being a huge fan of Pletnev I was delighted to discover this recording.
I’m curious why you felt it necessary to tell us that you’re a “working class man”. Why? What does of have to do with your appreciation of great classical music?
@@syourke3It is even worse when people start by something like "I'm a Muslim", or "Jewish", or whatever. He probably means this as showing pride as you do not expect a working class person to appreciate classical music. Working class is not only deprived of good food and living conditions but high culture as well. Of course it is not a good thing to generalize.
@@syourke3 As a member of the industrial proletariat, it may surprise you that I have fallen in love with the bourgeoisie composer of pre-revolutionary Russia, Scriabin.
In my life, I discovered that each piece of music sounds best with certain people. One single person can't play a whole set entirely on the "superb mode". As here, some preludes are excellent, but not all. Although, Pletnev is one of the best Scriabin interpreters. 🎉🎉❤
Are you serious? Pletnev is a genius. Could you please upload your recording of these preludes too? Then we may compare them and see if you are on his level...

Una cascada de notes…. Cada una al seu lloc.
Incredible ❤❤❤
Thank you for uploading. Gorgeous!
The master
Nobody plays Scriabin like Pletnev
Of course, nobody plays as anybody else.
@@justadude641 I mean, as good as him
So good. I love, for example, how he makes the piano ‘sing’ the melody in nr. 5. Some pianists slightly or totally exaggerate the left hand here.
The piano was well miked with fine quality but there sure is a lot of background noise. Some Live recordings do need just a bit of "touch up".
