Forever my favorite song from Red. Michael's voice is absolutely chilling. Him along with David from Disturbed and Ivan from FFDP, they all have this angelic voice when singing softly and then they can just burst into a devil scream. Crazy talent
Maynard James Keenan and Corey Taylor fit the same bill for me and Chester B is close but only had the soft voice and scream, but not the full voiced scream of the others.
In all the worst moments of my life this song comes back haunting me... and I can't stop listening to it... it's so strange, loving something that makes you sad, this much!

I discovered this band back in 2008/ 2009 when I was in high school. I would listen to this song (and Breathe into Me) pretty much everyday on the bus. They will never get old to me. Honestly I'm surprised more people don't know about these guys!

im so blessed to have been listening to Red since just about the beginning ... (this came out in 06.. my friend introduced me to them in 07) they were the first live band I saw in 2008 along with Puddle of Mudd ... they remain one of my top 10 favorite bands of all time... and im blessed to have seen them over half a dozen times live

First band that started me on my metal journey :'). 7 years later I return to this song and the memories it brings back is overwhelming, I discovered this band before I went on vacation to various countries and cruises so all these songs by Red bring back vacation memories and it's honestly a beautiful yet sad feeling. This song and In the End shares (almost) the same drum pattern and chord progressions, difference is that this song is in F Minor and 103 BPM while In the End is in Eb Minor and 105 BPM. PS: I heard that Red's guitarist is influenced by Linkin Park!
To me this song gives off a very poignant and somber feel. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it almost tells a story. A story two people who were once very close, now on opposing sides that they're both very dedicated to. Their ideals clash so much that they eventually must fight to the death. Neither of them want to fight, but both know that it must be done. As their memories of better times cloud their heads, they fight and one of them dies. The other sheds tears over how far their former camaraderie has fallen. He cries over his old companion's body. Knowing that he had no choice. Any attempt to convince him otherwise was doomed to fail. They both knew that this is how it would end. Thus, the "Already Over" bit.

I used to be 16 yo kid listening to this song, now im almost 30. But this song still brings me best and worst memories.
This will always be my favourite album of all time they got me into rock music well before that I was only into breaking benjamin, hard to believe this album came out 9years ago when I was only 11, such a masterpiece and there new album that came out recently is really good but this will always be my favourite :)

This song and In the End shares (almost) the same drum pattern and chord progressions, difference is that this song is in F Minor and 103 BPM while In the End is in Eb Minor and 105 BPM.

To me this song gives off a very poignant and somber feel. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but it almost tells a story. A story two people who were once very close, now on opposing sides that they're both very dedicated to. Their ideals clash so much that they eventually must fight to the death. Neither of them want to fight, but both know that it must be done. As their memories of better times cloud their heads, they fight and one of them dies. The other sheds tears over how far their former camaraderie has fallen. He cries over his old companion's body. Knowing that he had no choice. Any attempt to convince him otherwise was doomed to fail. They both knew that this is how it would end. Thus, the "Already Over" bit.
