I love how the dynamics of most episodes are Nigel saying the most outrageous things and Matt regretting his life decisions but taking them like a champ hahha, it makes such a fun duo. Keep it up both of you!
Lolll someone on my fb posted that article about the Singapore joke and was super mad. I said “He’s a comedian. I just take everything he says with a grain of MSG”
Went to the first Bangkok show expecting Producer Matt to come on stage, shouted where's producer Matt, sad to find out he was getting a happy ending somewhere 😂
Since you mentioned a bit about the politics here in Thailand, let me share some internal perspectives. Actually, Twitter is quite big here amongst the younger generations on who are mostly on the left-wing. We do have the left-right social media war on FB. However, our voices in politics are pretty limited especially when it comes to the monarchy because of a Lèse-majesté law. And if you google the term, Thailand would appear as the very first on the list of the search result. Anyway, I hope you are enjoying it here in Thailand and I'm looking forward to more of Uncle Roger's videos about Thai food. Cheers!
18:06 Matt - anytime I get criticism from someone, I look at their profile to see how many subs they have. That's about as much as you should care about their opinion. I was talking to a friend recently about how you are actually the perfect wing man on the podcast. You're like how Jamie is to Joe Rogan.
Nigel: “We need to bring the caste system for Western Countries.” Me: “Racism already exists and what makes you think caste does not exist in the West?”
Matt you look like you’re bout to become a heat casualty man. Make sure to hydrate. In all seriousness though you’re a good addition to the podcast. Keep going man.
Hi from BKK second show!! It was a super fun night (would prefer to have you perform in some theater also but ‘the warehouse’ is a convenience place for transportation lol) Wish you to have a nice vacay and hope you could come back to perform in bkk in the future :)
Twitter is actually a big thing is Thailand. Most users are young/ left-wing people. And the conversations are usually heated and about the authoritarian government and also the monarchy which is a controversial topic here in Thailand. I’m not sure if you’re aware of this but you could have experienced this controversy at the beginning of your shows where the royal anthem was played (not a national anthem) and it’s required that we stand to pay respect for the king. But two-thirds of the audience didn’t stand up and you can really see the different political viewpoints between the two groups. And people were laughing about it too which was quite a special case. I guess it was because we were in a comedy show.
As a white male, (from Australia no less) I still sweat fairly constantly when I go to Thailand. But the humid weather is sooooo worth the culture and experience. Love Thailand, not for the stereotypes, but because it’s a cheap, short flight, warm equatorial holiday location.
Woah, that last part could have been a bad situation. Matt is too naive, no offense. I think your intuition is accurate, as some people do crazy stuff.
Lollll accurate af. Uncle roger was talkin bout the fact that sky scrappers in Bangkok probly has loads of empty spaces in side. Which is super accurate, those sky rise have one thing in common, they offer office for rent. Almost All of them do lol. And when unc said when will these building get torn down, it got me thinking bout how these buildings were built versus how rules and laws surrounding the building of these buildings. There are some laws which are like, the top of the building has to be a certain degrees measuring from the road and it has to have appropriate distance from the road or smth. I think those are for security reasons innit? But the thing is, these tall buildings, say the ones that got 60,70 plus floors are built with the intention of it being there for ever. And they have no intention of taking out the buildings like ever. Why are those laws measuring angles from the nearest road there? In case a stray plane flew into it and it happened to collapse ? Lolz
Hey its actually me from the picture with the sign hoodie just wanna get things right my name is Focus and I not a guy I'm a 14 year old girl thank you
How ironic, the Kiwis are known to be one of the kindest people and Auckland is known to be an incredibly boring city 😂 How in the world did Nigel end up with a coke snorting mom there??? 😂 My parents, who lives in Auckland, told me the other day, the Kiwis in general aren't as friendly as Malaysians but when there is an accident everyone stops to help, unlike Malaysia, people in general are quite friendly but when there is an accident most people will just drive past.

Is it weird that after watching all the podcasts I have grown more liking for Producer Matt than Nigel?
He is the cutest man alive! Gemma is so lucky!
I love Producer Matt on the pod! He's not boring.
I am so jealous of the people who went to his show especially in Thailand, that is definitely what we called double good times 🎉🎉

Greeting from Thailand Nigel, Saw your show days ago. It was one of the most hilarious show I've seen in a while. Hope you come back to Bangkok soon!
I love producer Matt, he honestly saved this podcast, Nigel is so much funnier when he can bounce off from someone.
Went to the first Bangkok show expecting Producer Matt to come on stage, shouted where's producer Matt, sad to find out he was getting a happy ending somewhere 😂
Damn, I missed it. Even though I’m from Bangkok and I could easily take a train to central world.
Nigel: “Maybe a little bit of fear is good in the country.”
Me: “Have you heard of Winston Churchill?”
Matt used to be squirming at the side of the desk and now he's like "I'm posting this on twitter".🤣
43:22 March 2023 Nigel JR will appear

It doesn’t exist here buddy. Everyone has a chance to succeed in the US.

Producer Matt’s reactions are everything and also, majorly relate.
P.S. The strike is happening not because of laziness but because of pay disparity.
Probably the worst time ever to strike.
@@donnadiamusa7574 Thank you for saying that!
