Bought myself a golden twig razor with its stand as a birthday present. And I forced myself to temper my expectations because a I had been hearing awesome things about it for a while and didn´t want to be disappointed but WOW it genuinely impressed me. Leaf got it right with the twig. The golden looks beautiful to me but that blue is gorgeus too!
Great shave. I have the Polo Blue in my possession, and it’s still going strong. The wet shaving industry just lost a few of its companies recently, including Above the Tie and Dr. Jon’s. It’s been for one reason or another, mostly due to low sales, increasing materials costs, or their owner’s new life commitments. It’s a shame, but the simple thing is we carry on and wet shaving will stay strong and continue to grow with new wet shavers as time goes on. Have a good one!
Great shave Ken - it’s nice to see someone who knows how to lather a cream right. A lot of guys seem to make a paste of of TOBS creams with too much product and way to little water - then claim the cream is not that great or not very slick compared to something else. Keep up the great videos.
Hey Ken... you're right it's soooo cool. That's why I ordered my own Berry Blue Twig. 😊 I'm from Canada so I paid the exchange and shipping too. I wanted to make sure I got that blue.😂. Can't wait to try it out... I'm still waiting on it. It's in the mail. Great video. Take care
Excellent shave Ken and I'm glad you made it back from Hawaii safely. I agree that the Berry Blue color should be permanent. It really pops and has that wow factor. I don't know for sure but Leaf use to have a deal with Israeli Crystal blades when they first opened. That might have changed over the years. My personal favorite blade in the leaf and twig is the Gillette 7 'O' Clock green label blades. I put one half in the center slot and the other half goes into my black twig sculptor. I do have a knock off version of the folding version of a Feather AC shavette coming which is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.
My first adventure into wet shaving was with the Twig. Great razor. I just bought my wife the berry blue Leaf. That should be an interesting experience since she has always used a cartridge razor.
@Kensurfs another great detailed educational breakdown of wet shaving products. I have a 5 min hack to extend the life of a cartridge razor. Also The Dollar Tree 5 Blade cartridge razor is underrated and have stronger hinges than Gillette or Schick cartridges.
It’s so true what you say about everyone having different skin and beard. My son only needs one pass with a mild Gillette tech, me on the other hand it’s a daily three pass shave with a straight razor.
Hi Ken! Great shave and beautiful blue razor! Yaqi has a soap and after shave with a scent homage to Polo blue! (hypnotic blue) as an alternative to the original .
did. You ever use The Baron cologne; that’s one that will stay with you and not disappear later in the day. Have to find it these days in those off grid places in malls with the older brands. I have a collection stored in fridge for future use.
Nice shave Ken💈💈 TOBS..can't go wrong. Never tried a Leaf brand razor, have too many razors as it is but that one looks cool. Ralph Lauren is good about dropping the good stuff(Safari-Supreme etc.) Polo Green was a fav for me, so I bought two 8oz sets a couple years back...who knew they'd drop the AS? Enjoy!
Wow a Timeless razor 😎 cool that you will have the possibillity to try it out. Will you maybe have the chance in the future to try a Wolfman razor? Have a great weekend Ken 💈 👍 🙏
On the subject of re-using DE blades, have you ever tried stropping them? I always wash and dry my blades after ever shave and sometimes I will strop them on my pants or shirt. Maybe it is my imagination, but it seems to help keep them sharper longer. Then I place a drop of oil on them before placing back into the razor, similar to how I care for my straight razors.
Or wipe the blade through a cork before each use. This removes the accumulated film, and allows another shave (but up to a limit, depending on the blade product.)
That is a nice-looking blue Twig. I have the gold one. I'm curious if you really needed the pre-shave oil with TOBS? The TOBS shaving cream I use lathers well and has good residual slickness. I've never felt I needed a pre-shave. Welcome home!
I just ordered a chrome Twig for my dad for Father’s Day and also noticed it takes less twists to open the head compared to my Twig/Thorn. I’m wondering if it was old stock. Hopefully it’s not a bad thing
No my dear friend. During the last 10 years i'm spending much more money than i used to with a mach 3. You see all the creams, soaps razors and balms i buy is just insane. It is a very expensive hobby. My advice is just buy a proraso tube and some mach3 and stop there.

Very cool, glad your vacation was good!
👍👍
Glad to see you made it back home safe my friend. The views of Hawaii were stunning. The berry blue is beautiful. See you on the next one. - Josh

Awesome Shave Ken!! That’s a nice blue color.

Bring back the blue. Best of the colors.
It's crazy you're reviewing the leaf. I literally just bought the Thorn yesterday because it's a bit more aggressive.
I love that blue color

@jasonnyc2006, what is your method to extend the use-life of a cartridge?
Ken I have the berry blue twig i love it
Awesome👍👍

Great shave Ken. But the best part was - the dermatologist - thank you and that is not a good thing, hahaha 8:48
And yeah this blue twig was really nice looking one. 👍
Hi Ken great shave! Beautiful Razor nice colour! My skin is left and right sides not the same 😅. Have a great weekend 👍
Lisa A beautiful razor, definately on my wish list.😍👍💈
Fabulous looking razor

Hey can you upload some bond and Mando pinball review stuff as your next videos?
I've got mine in Berryblue 💙
Awesome color isn’t it👍👍
Ken your shirt 👕 looks like Chinese silk …very cool 😎
Yep. Berry Blue Twig is sold out!😕
I got the Thorn in chrome. I wanted it in berry blue but they were sold out :(
Ken, what’s the sent profile for the new PAA soap/aftershave? Hoping for a new musk option in addition to the John Frum.
Paco Rabanne Pour Homme
Great shave, Ken. I'm curious: if you could pick only one between one of the Leaf razors and one of the Henson razors, which would you choose?
What's the story with the three lions England tattoo??!!
Can someone please share when is kensurfs taking off the goatee? 😂

👍👍
Nice shave Ken. How's TOBS Peppermint compared to other of their scents? And what is your favourite from tobs?
Leaf or High Proof?
They sold out of the berry blue before you even posted this video lol.
Not first.... and they're SOLD OUT 😞
Oh man
The BerryBlue SE razors are VERY gone...... and 10%off
I have the prism thorn. My results are usually good but it is more for the uniqueness than the quality of the shave. Not close to my top 5. Take care.
The Twig is a decent razor, but for the money there are better razors out there, if they priced it at 30 bucks then it would be worth it

Why throw the blade collector in the trash? No find way to give to recycle operation?
Ken, are you going to keep the goatee forever?
