One thing I love is people making decks to specifically accommodate cards with interesting effects the are hard or suboptimal to insert into a deck built without it in mind.
Instead of making your entire deck around it, if you threw a one-of trumpet in blue/steel I could see it working. You could play him on turn 3 if you ramped with one jump, then turn 4 you play a Tamatoa, or a Hades, or big tink, while still having ink for an item or something
