I don't find it weird. Because paimon always drops these which is sus. she pushes us as pawns to solve things or go to places she wants. back then in dragonspine with albedo she also said some sus things. I actually enjoyed it because I feared we , as traveler, have to pity khaenriah and the hilichurls and be forced to side against the gods, but seeing that we could even choose things against the twin and against khaenriah and not show sympathy towards the hilichurls made the ending of the quest even better, because then everything you did sounded ilke "meh i dont really care but I'll do it because paimon is annoying" xD
This one is my favorite chasm ost too, I really like the tremolo in the beginning since it starts off mysterious, and then it gets really emotional (especially after doing the Dainslief quest). The adaptive/dynamic music in the Chasm is so nice, having the calmer bgm smoothly transition into the battle theme and then shifting back, I really hope Genshin starts implementing it more ^^
this bgm plays at the deepest part of chasm. it feels so rewarding to listen this at the end of my exploration. gorgeous interpretation, as always. thank you man

Like it wants you to uncover a mystery that will give you more knowledge, but you know it won't end well. It's somber, but not sad or painful. It represents the chasm, and secrets of the unparalleled path domain well
Since this is the final part of the chasm that we explore, the music is on point, so mysterious that makes u wonder what could have happen to this place, I believe that this sort of music is khaenriah's theme, since it and other places around the map that have been destroyed by celestia are related, I expect to see another place in sumeru that is also destroyed by celestia and the music will feel similar to this and enkanomiya ost
Kinda sad that after you finish the quest, there’s nothing much to fight or do in that room, and then you can’t hear this masterpiece again. I hope something spawn or have a quest more there. Also, love the arrangement, it’s so perfect.

What a wonderful cover! This is my favourite track from the Chasm too, so I was very happy to see this in my recommended. I really love that this piece has a slightly sad tone interspersed with moments of hope, which I felt didn't occur as much with many other themes from the Chasm that were more ambient or melancholic like the Enkanomiya ones.

I have a question about the part that starts at 1:01 There are long low notes which (I guess) can only be made to sound like that by pressing the pedal. But at the same time he's playing short high notes, which would require the foot off the pedal. If I play it with the pedal pressed down, the high notes start to blend together (sounding false). If I play with the pedal up, the low notes are but a tiny fart of bass. How does one play it like in the video??
play the low notes with sostenuto pedal (middle pedal, also may not be middle depending on piano model) which only hold the low note, elongating the note without affecting other notes.

This is such a standout piece to me, from the entire OST to be honest. Absolutely beautiful arrangement, wouldn't change a thing!

Yes!! I've been waiting for this cover. Easily my favorite BGM from Chasm and one of Yupeng's best so far imo. Great job :)
And this is actually the only part of the Chasm Underground music that Chen did. He was mainly focused on the overworld music.
