Thanks so much for the videos, they came handy as I stumbled on them one day to my exam. I finished going all the tutorials and sample questions. I wrote my exam and scored 35 out of 40. Keep up the good work bro, I really do appreciate.
Congratulations Fortune FC!!
Wish you all the very best all your future endeavors.
Thank you for these videos, he goes a long way from just reading the syllabus of ISTQB by your self. I am finding all forms of exam samples for ISTQB so i can be accustomed to multiple various questions.
Thanks a lot

Thanks Inna
HI Neeraj, Can you please explain the difference between a test base, test case and test procedure?
all videos are very helpful... thanks sir
Thank you Rajshri
Thank you very much for the sample questions
cleared my foundation exam with 92.5% . Your videos helped a lot in understanding the concepts. Thank you!
Where you practice mock test? I have exam in this month.. please help
I feel like having a glossary of terms would help. I feel like the wording of the questions expects a degree of prior knowledge outside of the course materials. In all likelihood I might know the answer but the terminology used to describe it in the question is different to what my place of work calls it, which really throws me off.
Thanks for the suggestion Adam!!
I will now prepare a video on all glossary terms. To help people out.
@@TMSQUARETECH where can I find this video for what all glossary terms to expect in istqb exam?
Hi, can you please tell me where can I find the video for all glossary terms ? Also now the syllabus is kind of revised. CTFL 4.0, so are there new videos for it or I can refer these videos ?@@TMSQUARETECH

Thank u very much sir... can I get more questions and answers in chapter 1....this is correct version ISTQB for writing exam in 2020... very helpful for my preparation...
Hi Karthik, thank you so much your feedback. You can find more questions and their answers here www.slideshare.net/jannatindia
All the best !!!
Hi Neeraj, first of all thank you very much for the tutorials. They are great! Regarding question 6, the correct answer is C not A, right?
Thanks for asking your question but the right answer is A. Please refer the to the syllabus 1.4 Test process to get the justification.
Thanks Neeraj
You’re welcome!!
interesting that at the last question there was "attention to details" which was clearly specified in tester's mindset. Is there ALWAYS only one correct answer or there are multiple? Thanks.
Yes Cristian. There always only one right answer to any question in foundation exam.
i realize it's kinda off topic but does anybody know a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Edwin Jordy Meh I watch on flixportal. you can find it on google :D -juelz
@Juelz Sutton Thank you, signed up and it seems like a nice service :D Appreciate it !
@Edwin Jordy happy to help =)
Thank you for making such helpful videos. Where can I get more sample questions and answers on each chapter?
Thanks. Sample papers can be found here www.slideshare.net/jannatindia. Or you can also visit istqb.org downloads section
Hi Neeraj, For question number 8, why not answer D is the correct answer as critical eye and attention to detail are said to be in the tester's mindset?
Please assist.
Yeah you are right.. The right answer must be D as per the syllabus as well. My bad..
Hi Neeraj: For Question 7 - I am a bit confused - should'nt the answer be D: Areas that may be impacted by side-effects of a change can be targeted by confirmation testing?
What are test artifacts?
Hi Prachi,
The side effect are due to a change and confirmation testing is retesting which limited to confirming a fix of defect. Whereas, the side effects are checked with help of regression testing.
The test artifacts are any docs or logs which are generated or created during testing.
I hope this answers your query.
I didnot understand the 6 th question...match between activities and tasks . can you plz give more explanation on that?
Hello Neeraj, Could you please explain for question 4 why option C is correct as the root cause is mentioned here as well as "an incorrect configuration variable implemented for GPS function"? This is again explaining the root cause.
Its more of a English statement. The option C is prediction of a defect whereas other 3 options are actively saying the current reason behind an identified issue.
Good gracious! English is my primary language and this question 4 made my head hurt - I had the same question as you, Deepti.... All answers appear wrong to me as well - as all answers contained root cause... That is SUPER tricky in the wording - that we need to pick up on the nuance somehow, of it being an assumed root cause vs. the actual root cause?? Wow.... Hope there aren't many questions this tricky!
Hi Neeraj, can you please clarify the below question: “ An input field takes the year of birth between 1900 and 2004. The boundary values for testing this field are:
a) 0, 1900,2004,2005
b) 1900,2004
c) 1899,1900,2003,2004
d) 1899,1900,1901,2003,2004,2005
My answer is “d” but they put “c”.
Can you please let me know which option is correct? Thank you!!
Both "c" and "d" options are correct, as BVA can be applied either by 2 or by 3 points. However, by default, it is assumed that you take only 1 value on each border of the equivalence class, thus applying a 2-point approach. Use it unless you are told directly to pick border values by 3 points. So, it is "c".
Hi Sir, started my ISTQB preparation few days back, came across your videos and now I'm totally dependent on them. Your content seems so relevant and way of teaching is great . I just wanted to ask are these videos enough to pass CTFL 2023 (ISTQB CTFL v4)?? and another thing where do we get the answers of sample papers that are on official ISTQB site ??
I hope I answered your question already on live session but still. 4.0 is not yet rolled out for exam so You can use this playlist to pass the exam in 2023. The explanation to 3 mock papers can be found here - ruclips.net/video/EwLegJ7HnyM/видео.html&pp=iAQB
All the best!!
@@TMSQUARETECH Thankyou so much sir 🙏
Hello Neeraj. Thanks for making things easier and understandable. Can you please explain the below question as acc. to my knowledge c is the correct option.
For the code fragment given below, which answer correctly represents minimum tests required for statement and branch coverage respectively?
Discount rate=1;
Fare = 1000;
If ((person == “senior citizen”) and (“travel month = January”))
Bonuspoints = 100+Bonuspoints
If (class==”first”)
discountRate = .5;
Fare = fare * discountRate;
A. Statement Coverage = 1, Branch Coverage = 2
B. Statement Coverage = 2, Branch Coverage = 2
C. Statement Coverage = 1, Branch Coverage = 3
D. Statement Coverage = 2, Branch Coverage = 4
Hi, for question 7. Is it asking for the advantage of maintaining traceability between test documents/info and test artifacts? I googled and test artifacts means “a file created during testing”. Can you please help to explain the question in detail? Thank you.
Hi Joann,
The question is about traceability between test basis and work products where Test Basis is any document which you refer (Are work products of other phases) and Test Work Product (Test Artifacts) are created during testing phases.
Creating a relationship or traceability between them will help you to measure the coverage.
Thank you Sir, I have passed the exam.
Thank you so much for tutorials. Sir, can you help me with more questions for foundation level?
Hi Upma,
Thanks for your comments. You can follow the link to see more sample questions and mock tests www.slideshare.net/jannatindia
I am a little confused about the last question. The ISTQB material document stated the below about testers mindset:
A mindset reflects an individual’s assumptions and preferred methods for decision making and problem solving.
A tester’s mindset should include curiosity, professional pessimism, a critical eye, attention to
detail, and a motivation for good and positive communications and relationships. A tester’s mindset tends
to grow and mature as the tester gains experience.
It is explicit in the material, (D) is the right answer. A tester´s mindset should include curiosity, professional pessimism, a critical eye , attention to detail, and a motivation for good and positive communications and relationships.
I just need a link where we can find sample questions for all the chapters so that I can practice the questions see how much I score in the exam.

Hi Neeraj, in testing objective, it is mentioned that objective it to find defects as well as preventing defects. I think both these are contradictory. Job of a tester is to find the defects then how come can he find and prevent a defect both at the same time ? That is a bit confusing. Also no where about preventing defects as objectives is mentioned in the revised syllabus of CTFL 4.0
Hi Miral,
I agree but it was not at the same time. By doing review we prevent defects and by conducting executions of tests we find defects. In 4.0 they are talking about shift left to cover the difference.
So now according to the revised syllabus, what should be the answer ?
@@TMSQUARETECH
@@miralshah931 According to new syllabus I am not sure. As I not started working on it as the new syllabus is not yet rolled out for exams. One I start will let you know.
Thank you Jesus I found this series of videos!

@@TMSQUARETECH Thank you😏
Hello Sir, I want to write the ISTQB Canada 2020 exam, so wanted to know that if these vedios are sufficient for me?
Yes you can refer the same. All the very best.
For the 8th question what is the difference between A and B, feels like they are the same thing?
HI Neeraj, thankyou so much for the videos and your detail explanation .Question 8 Which of the following is MORE likely to be found in a tester's mindset rather than in a developer's? answer is B correct right as its Saying MORE likely keyword in the question.
Yes it should be ability to see what might go wrong
@@TMSQUARETECHthanks
Hello
In the above video , Last question, the correct answer is not Attention to detail which is clearly mention in ISTQB syllabus. how come it is not correct answer?
Hi Shweta,
If you look at the question closely it says what is the difference in dev and tester's mindset. Now if you observe the options "Attention to details" is also applicable to Dev. This is mindset is common to both. Whereas, Dev being more toward constructive and building approach doesn't think that their product can go wrong. Now, that unique about tester as they start with this intention to design there test cases itself. I hope that was in-line with your understanding.
@@TMSQUARETECH Thank you for explanation.
Good video but I feel like the questions expect you to know some of the terms without ever giving an explanation in the syllabus. Things like "test case" or "test condition"
Exactly True. This is what made prepare these tutorials to assist everyone. Thanks
Question no 6 - We don't 'Create' in implementation though right?
As per the syllabus you can create the data in Test Implementation.
@@TMSQUARETECH Thank you
The question 4 I am not agree. Also provide root cause when tell us a incorrect variable" normal people s
Do not know what's variable...
Hi Vinicius, I agree with your point. One way is if you are a tester you will be know some basics of programming as you will have to deal with statement and decision coverage. Other way, if a tester doesn’t know about a variable of course it fall under programmer’s court and its a root cause not defect.
I am sorry, but how is a configuration-type variable not a root cause?
Its more of a English statement. The option C is prediction of a defect whereas other 3 options are actively saying the current reason behind an identified issue.
My bad.. I feel that I missed sense of the questions. All my answer wrong as per your answer..
You can revisit the tutorials and learn missing links to get them right the next time. Happy Learning!!
What do you think about the below question?
As per my understanding the answer is C. But the mock test which I was solving it’s given A as the correct answer.
Q. Which is the best definition of complete testing:
A. You have discovered every bug in the program.
B. You have tested every statement, branch, and combination of branches in the program.
C. You have completed every test in the test plan.
D. You have reached the scheduled ship date.
Hi Sharon,
First of all this is very old pattern question which is no longer used and seems confusing in terms of of statement provided which ISTQB no longer makes use of.
Further, if we still try to use our wisdom to answer this then the right answer is C. As it meets the expectation of the test objectives and goal. Additionally, there are many sources which provide similar type of dumps and many questions have wrong answers. So, I would recommend that learn effectively and have confidence on your understanding just like how you have now. For latest mock paper and sample questions pls visit istqb.org or my slide-share page. All the best!!
@@TMSQUARETECH Thank you for your feedback. It makes me confident that I am understanding your tutorial and syllabus correctly. I have been doing the sample questions from ISTQB.org, but I am not sure if those sample questions are sufficient to give the test so was trying out other mock tests.
I've got only 2 right answers 😅
Keep trying. All the best!!
