Yoyoka dear. Being understated is the hallmark of an English gentleman. So, when he goes "great stuff" interspersed with monosyllabic laughs, you can rest assured that he is expressing genuine appreciation and deep admiration for your efforts.
His post-performance comments bears that out.
You stunned the legend with the greatest of compliments and it earned you a 99% rating.👏👏👏

A genuine Gentleman. Not only is he gracious enough to watch someone as talented as Yoyoka do a cover of a timeless piece of music of which he was one of the creators, but he is humble, endearing and generous with his praise of Yoyoka and you can see that he truly feels the joy that Yoyoka feels when she is playing.
Mr Ian Paice, Thank you for the music, I have always been in awe of your musical talent, and enjoy watching your reactions, insights and the sharing of your incredible knowledge and experience with the wider musical community, whether they be professionals or beginners.
I myself could never aspire to be a drummer, (I have hands that are the equivalent of a dancers two left feet), so i will be a professional listener and enjoyer of drumming.
Yoyoka, well done!!! Very impressive indeed, you go from strength to strength in your playing, you are going to be a force to be reckoned with as you continue your amazing journey developing your skills (which are already incredible) and continue to amaze and bring joy to us who are grateful for you sharing your talent with us.
To you both, Thank you and Happy New Year!!!

Ian - the girl is still at it, still dying to meet you, I am certain. Imagine her, years later - able to mention having met you. I think she deserves this! Of all the drummers she could have covered, attempted to emulate: she sure has focused much on your works. Considering her AGE - this is flattery at it's best! She needs to work on her Buddy Rich some. Get on her about that! You are the last surviving drum great of your era in rock that she has a reasonable opportunity to meet. Please invest in this young prodigy - that visit, pass the torch, share your gift with her generation through her. Because of HER - I have discovered 98% of what I know about you, I have suddenly developed a true appreciation for your works thanks to this child. I now rank you and Deep Purple among my top three favorite vinyls to buy...thanks to her. And I am pushing 60. We are getting old fast, aren't we? Please don't procrastinate this visit too long! Just show up at her house!

Also she learns the songs she plays on youtube usually in 1-3 hours by ear and plays it in one take.

My main takeaway from this video is how nice guy Ian is.
The second takeaway is how he waited for every little piece of the drum performance, eagerly waiting to see if she nailed it. And was glad when she did.

So glad you've been introduced to Yoyoka. She's really one-of-a-kind, she has an incredible feel for music and most important: she LOVES music and she shows a lot of respect for the greatests drummers like you. Deep Purple was one of the bands I fell immediatly in love back then, and hearing that music again thru a young person who discover it too is such a pleasure. Thank you Mr Paice.

It's true. There are a ton of young drummers that are technically amazing but Yoyoka has something special. She has the magic feel.

That was amazing ... known Yoyoka for a while now, true force of nature. And to hear the great gentleman Ian Paice say these kind words. Yoyoka will be over the moon, I’m sure.

You rarely see an artist of this caliber be so humble and appreciative of someone imitating him regardless of the age. It's one thing to reproduce almost perfectly but all the credit goes to the original artist. Ian Paice is truly inspirational in every sense of the word.

"The best thing is, she's having fun." Exactly! I've been following young Yoyoka for the past few years now on RUclips. Not long after I initially learned of her, my reactions were similar to Ian's but more animated (they still are). I'd be watching her play the drums via my laptop with headphones plugged in - smiling, giggling, even laughing at times. All due to the enjoyment found in watching such a talented young person doing something they were born to do, but more importantly, truly enjoying doing so. That's the beauty of it in my mind. My wife would look over at me and get tickled. Then she'd ask "Are you watching the little drummer girl again?"

I always thought the drumming in Deep Purple was excellent but it is not until you see someone trying to play these monster songs accurately that you really apreciate how technically impressive they are.

Wow where to start here. BESIDES the power, the accuracy (not ONE rim hit or miss in all those fills) , the ROCK SOLID right foot, I am totally blown away by her GRIP. Her wrists HAVE to be unreal to be holding the sticks with NO fulcrum and from it appears to be, little to no finger rebound. I mean holy crap that was something.

I not only smiled, but I got a little misty eyed when you started speaking about her. Luv you Mr. Paice, I 1st learned of you around that age (11) on a PBS tv show called Rock School, in the states. You talked about playing drums was like dancing. It was at the beginning of my musical journey back then and you were cool then and you are still just as cool. Thanx so much for sharing on RUclips.
