Americans buy cheap sunglasses at the gas station. We stop there and plan our whole trip, -get gas, ice, food, drinks, cooler, cheap sunglasses, chairs and keychains(souvenirs). When I was in England everybody stopped me for directions - it was my first day there. I was walking fast and ignoring everybody, I was trying to blend in 😆

Americans don’t avoid traveling internationally because of fewer vacation days. It’s about money. Americans DO travel overseas but most of us stay in the states because it’s so diverse and it’s much, much cheaper flying and finding a hotel or Airbnb from the east coast to the west coast and vice versa. Skiing in Colorado, sightseeing in NYC, visiting the Grand Canyon, going away to Hawaii, or traveling to the (almost) top of the word in Alaska are places we can go without pulling out a passport. Time is a factor but it’s not THE factor.
Plus if Europeans hate us why give them our money.

I was in Portugal a few years ago with my best friend, who is American (I’m Scottish) and we were on a train and we were having a similar discussion about Brits abroad vs American’s abroad. My friend had just said the worst part of being American abroad is that everyone assumes you are going to be loud. Like you hear an American before you see them. No sooner had those words came out of his mouth than a female voice filled the entire carriage and you guessed it she was American. For the entire journey we knew every word she was saying and we were at the opposite end of the carriage. My friend slumped down and tried to speak as quietly as possible to counter the stereotype that was playing out in real time.

To be fair Im American and Florida was my favorite vacation of all time and I've been to the Caribbean and I didn't even go to Disney 😂 but to also be fair I've never been to California I'm from NYC by the way
When I lived in England I found that most of the individuals I spoke with never knew that the original Disneyland was in California

@@hayfaosman2513 the original Disneyland is in Anaheim, California built in 1955. DisneyWorld which is located in Orlando, Florida opened in 1971. I grew up living in Orange County, California roughly 5 miles from Disneyland spent many summers there

After watching this video, I’ve realized that the holiday season is told mostly from the view of a white American because black people don’t tan nor do we all celebrate 4 July 1776 holiday anymore. 😅
Some of us pale white people do not tan either. I won't go outside in the summer without a high SPF and if I go in the water I reapply after

Well imported beers have always been considered fancy in the states. When I interned in London I was shocked they were only like a pound in some places in the states they are like five dollars at a bar.

Never seen brits dress like that on holiday. We also don't carry Stella to the beach, beaches have bars abroad. We take Stella to the beach in the UK. Think they picked the wrong two people for this video
