- The Wing Chun punch or the Yit Ji Chung Kuen 日字衝拳 can be broken down into three different stages.
The first stage is punching in a stationary position to teach the practitioner how to punch along the centerline.
The second stage is punching with body rotation and shifting to teach the practitioner angling.
The third stage is punching with the rear horse stance to teach the practitioner how to generate power with the hips.
One can also use a Staff to help them feel the connection of their punches with their hips.

That slight rotation is does not add much power, try that rotation when doing fast chain punches, your body would shake like jello. 🤣

Not a big deal but your right hand is leaving the line slightly and looping on the return... Also both fists should be at the same height when at their end-points, etc
How many breaths should be practiced for each punch when going slow while breathing from dan tian?

It should be punched at the level of your nose. There is a video of Ip Man punching at the level of his nose
