He's wrong when he says no Catholic country does a similar thing to Day of the Dead. In Poland they celebrate All Saints Day where people go to cemetaries, lay flowers, sometimes food and light candles for their deceased loved ones and ancestors, so its similar.
All saints day is All Hallows Day which on the same day as Halloween. All Saints Day is an important day in Catholic countries. Mexico's day of the dead is celebrated differently and had been declared heretical by some Catholic authorities.

Btw i'm black descendant, My grand grandfather was black, but now in My family we have white and mestizo people like myself, only in two of My brothers you can see the african heritage in their hair and noise.
Some updates is that today Mexico economy is booming, Mexican Pesos is holding strong against the dollar thus grabbing the attention of other countries who are moving their factories to Mexico. In GDP terms Mexico has moved up to #13 and has surpassed China as the U.S biggest trading partner. Tourism has also gone up ranking 5 or 6 as the most visited countries in the world. President Amlo is leaving office this year and Mexico is set to have its first Woman president as the 2 main parties candidates are women.
As a Mexican we tolerate usa, its a bit of a love / hate relationship and its changing , we getting tired of usa telling us how to live and what to do, so changes are coming, though would not be smart for both usa and mexico to become enemies. we both need each other mainly for trade reasons
