Why? I can tell you several events that were "whites only". I mean, people had a party, it's not like they burned crosses in front of the house, hanged people, or killed real Americans, or enslaved someone. Most of the whites on the right wing are proud of their ancestors and anyway, they are proud of racism. Why would you deny people a party, so that they too have something to be proud of?

When a resume passes my desk for a candidate from one of these “elite” universities I immediately passes. Nobody I ever hired from one of these universities has ever been a pleasure to have on my team. They’re always angry about something.

when you are a public servant, you CANNOT have an event/party that is paid for by the taxpayers. Those funds HAVE to come from other sources. I if she’s using taxpayer funds for that party, then the taxpayers can remove her from office because that’s not what their money is to be used for. it’s straight up misappropriation of funds. The taxpayers of Boston need to show up to the next meeting and demand she show who paid for that party.

So Mayor Wu decided that people like Ed Flynn on the City Council wasn't appropriate for her party. He served active duty in the Persian Gulf on two deployments and had further service abroad in the United States Naval Reserves. Erin Murphy didn't make the color cut either, a teen mom, that later lost her son at age 11, went back to city college and became a teacher for 22 yrs. while waiting tables to pay for her education herself, it took 11yrs for her to get her degree, but she did it. These are just a couple of people who Wu deemed unacceptable to be at a holiday party.
She made a pathetic attempt to 'apologize'. Completely laughable in said attempt. Did the party still occur?

Reverse prejudice has been alive and well in CA for decades. I am white conservative and was seeking work & friendship in apparently wrong places. I was advised in LA to not bother pursuing work in High Fashion/commercial photography because it was completely dominated by LBGTQ+ . Worked the car end of the business and became a producer. In Santa Ana, OC, professional Latinos would not look or acknowledge you in elevators & hallways of commercial buildings, meanwhile lively conversing with each other. Lived, but did not work in OC. Had been told by others, including my husband, such treatment was common. In NorCal, my white soon to be Dysphoric trans effeminate male & construction worker friend experienced grueling reverse prejudice on all Latino construction crews. He said most all trades were dominated by Latinos and they would freeze out whites off crews. Have felt like odd ball out most of my life here in CA except while in High Sierra Ski Resort town for a decade , as a teenager and now exclusively in my church circles. Now I know why at 65 and it’s ok. Never really bothered me as I am creative & read extensively, alone. It was the not knowing that gets under your skin as you tend to think, what am I doing that is causing not so subtle rejection?
