Great lesson! I appreciate how you keep your versions and variations tied back to the musical concepts of harmony, using guitarist to embellish in a way a singer would etc….rather than just 8th notes and licks where the student has a hard time connecting why the lick works.
I wish I would have seen this a couple of months ago. I bombed out on this same song at a Bluegrass ensemble. It was pretty embarrassing to say the least. Thank you Andy I’m going to be working on this.
Hey, you made me feel good to admit to bombing out (as you put it) regarding a musical performance. I did too & I'm practicing at home instead of in front of others. I seem to have a kind of ptsd about it still. Could it be that as adults we are very hard on ourselves?
So cool. This seems a lot more less complicated and more satisfying than those complicated cross picking lessons out there. I almost have this but I think the tabs would help. Where can purchase the tabs? I’ve looked on you site but didn’t see tabs for Nine Pound Hammer. Thanks

That shuffle rhythm idea/approach is being really helpful.
Excellent stuff!
Andy’s classes are great!
Dang it Andy. You’re the best

One of the best lessons of this song going! Thank you.
I don't know what to say other than your lessons are very helpful.

Oh, completely. Adults expect way to much of themselves. We have to learn to laugh at mistakes.
Awesome lesson, thanks a million 🔥🙏
