a great card in the mon mothma slot is regional governor, we play a sentinel every turn which can protect the governor better than most decks. It feels great to turn off power of the dark side, superlaser tech, boba fett, and A-Wing on turn 1 and slow down our opponent while we build our board.
If we think it's relevant competitively we will probably take a look. We test extensively before we do a video and any time we grind with palpatine it doesn't go well. We don't want to recommend decks that lose so unless we feel like we have a deck in a good spot we probably won't make a video. That said we will eventually have one it's just not where it needs to be to warrant priority with tournaments starting soon.
Definitely looking forward to seeing the development of chewie. Very interesting leader that I think most of us wrote off at the start. (Maybe not but I did). Also tried this list with wing leader it just felt right. Never thought about the wedge. That's spicy
Great Content, thanks a lot! Based on the Sideboard guide, except of aggro Yoda goes everytime out and Vanquish in. Wouldn't this be an indicator that the composition should be vice versa?
Will said it right. I love my matchup into those other decks, so I'd rather be pre-boarded for my bad matchup and be happy to swap them out. Yoda is still really good in all of those matchups so I'm never sad to see him, but I'd cry if I drew 3 vanquishes vs. Sabine.
Governor is terrific with Chewie. Being able to name something, then play another sentinel to the ground to make it more difficult to remove Governor is sweet. I tend to lean more aggro, no matter what game I'm playing, so I landed on Aggression Chewie. For Heroic Command/Vigilance I really like Leia
@@SWU_KTOD ok let me get signed into an online deckbuilder and I'll send a link once I've converted it. Ok I posted it over on the SWUDB, labeled as Chewie's Space Race

R2D2 is quite important since you can get it back from discard to be played multiple times, and that 1 cost is way better than cost 2 when played multiples times
@@SWU_KTOD yeah. not the best, but having a 1 drop to set a sentinel when you only have 1 resource free... on later turns is a sub par sentinel to get a better play
Any thoughts about rebel assault? Changes the math on your one attack units and can help you fight over initiative. Dodonna is another card that seems interesting. Even though he rarely lives your opponent has to kill him and almost serves as a sentinel without the keyword. On paper boba seems like a nightmare even when he doesnt ramp. That steadfast or bossk into firespray the next turn just seems insurmountable.
Haven't lost any games to boba yet but only played a handful. Dodonna a little slow since we can't make him a sentinel I think he's a pass for me. Rebel assault is def interesting I just don't know where it'd fit and our prio is making awkward combat and wing leader/fleet LT just do it better.
With the recent love for playing dual aspect cards these days, do you think there is a place for Vigilance in this deck deck? If so, what would you drop? Any other changes you’d make as you’ve gotten more experience with it?
It is definitely worth trying! We provide updates decklists in our patreon discord. It is quite active and people have been trying out chewie and making changes for sure.
I feel good about it, I think I highlighted exactly why that is in the two slides about it. I think those cards are obviously stronger when they buff a leader but when your deck is all rebels you can find spots for it.
@@SWU_KTOD yes thank you. i saw that part but honestly I asked because i was genuinely hoping for a more in depth comment about it. How you manage to control four or five 9/10 ships, 3 vader, overwhelmings, maybe 8 cost walker or vanquish all in the same ramping iden but better krennic or tarkin blu deck?
I think wing leader is an acceptable cut esp in a tourney setting where you can expect a lot of boba and iden green which play traitorous because blue green hero has to rely on confiscate and if you go marine wing leader into an opp who ramps initiative then steals its kinda brutal Also i do think theres a lot of power in r2 as 1c because it slots into turns nicely like on 8 you can r2 sentinel and when the opp clears him luke gets the full -6/-6
Around 8 minutes you mentioned "if you haven't pulled Home One or Luke yet" - I think an awesome video, especially while the game is so new, would be to go over some really easy replacement cards for the hard to find Legendaries/rares like Boba, Darth, Luke, Home One, Red Three Unstop, etc.
Can you explain why 'Make an opening' is good against Boba decks? Ive never actually used that card. I thought it was almost a waste of 3 cost.@@SWU_KTOD

Great deck tech… Bonus points for saying “shaving the event package” and keeping a straight face.
I also said we don't have a big package at some point and I really almost lost it

Your deck techs are getting to Kibler level. Very impressive, thank you.
That's high praise!
This is some fantastic content! Going above and beyond with the side boarding screen is so nice of you! We subbed!
Thanks so much that means a lot! Glad everyone is loving the sideboard guide!
Love seeing how passionate you are to tinker and experiment with lists. Another great video. LOVE the visual SB guide. Great addition.

Great Content, thanks a lot! Based on the Sideboard guide, except of aggro Yoda goes everytime out and Vanquish in. Wouldn't this be an indicator that the composition should be vice versa?
Aggro is his toughest matchup. Going down 0-1 before getting Yoda in is risky.

Why not run Redemtion for quick healing? I find im often too behind for Home One to make an impact.
I don't think this deck falls behind like the other blue green decks but if you think that's better you should do it.
Would love to see some gameplay here and your thought process. Also work some magic to figure out a palpatine deck please!
Already have some games recorded from our last local so keep an eye on our channel as we go through the editing process.
Great deck, I love playing with decks that are less common, keeping things fresh. I struggle with Chewie’s leader art tho, just puts me off a bit.
I get that. I actually love it, but I get it. I like how stylized it is but still has a ton of detail.
Kudos to have sideboard plan!
I knew people would love that one =)
R2D2 is quite important since you can get it back from discard to be played multiple times, and that 1 cost is way better than cost 2 when played multiples times
I could see that if you actually wanted to play R2 multiple times which I don't really.

I'm not sure! I'll find out

No real replacement for Luke he's too pushed but you could run some obis or something
How do you feel about running wing leader with a leader that isn’t a rebel? Is that ever a reason to it. Same thing with Tie Advanced and imperials

What about match up with dark side green/blue control?
Late game they are better then you and you can’t aggro them, am I wrong?
I address that matchup and that incorrect perspective at around 9:36 in this video if you want to check it out.

Colonel Yularen is great even late game with U-Wing you can heal for 3 then hit for 3 with Ackbar.

At about 12.40, you're talking about Yoda as a 4 health SENTINEL. What am I missing here?
You're missing Chewbacca's ability.
