Since the last video like this I have decided to start my own business! I’m starting out by doing craft fairs, selling handmade bracelets and earrings! Right now I’m in the process of creating an inventory of products for my first fair in mid October! Thanks for inspiring me with your generosity to the hopescope community! Haha, watching Hope try Eastern Euro candy was hilarious. "Bird" milk (ptichiye moloko) has no actual relation to birds, it's basically a marshmallow filling covered in chocolate, I think they called it bird "milk" as a cultural joke. Halva is pressed (roasted?) sunflower seeds with a lot of sugar (there are other types too). I'm not a fan of the sunflower type, it's too "oily". Very distinct flavor. You can buy it in bulk without the chocolate at your typical specialty European food store in America. I promise it's not spicy, I think Hope wasn't expecting the weirdness of the flavor. And as for the candy - the caramels are super soft and chewy but taste more "milky" than the American sort, one of the most "basic" East Euro candies. You can buy the caramels and a random assortment (chocolate-covered or lozenge-type) candy at the specialty stores too. They come individually wrapped and can be bought loose by pound. Most of the names are in Russian, so be prepared 😂

Used to get halva when I was a kid at a farmer's market in Michigan. It definitely is a different taste and texture. Was fun to watch Hope try it

This was posted while I was in school, so I’m a tad bit late😂 We’re only two parts into this and I already know this is a series I’ll love. I also have a small business, we make leashes for dogs out of paracord in any colors you like, plus they are hands free! Leo would look awesome in our neon rainbow leash! We also make jewelry using only hand tools and stainless steel wire and semi precious stones, and chainmaille.
Love that you support small businesses, it’s so wonderful. Everything you buy from a small business, doesn't make a ceo able to buy their third vacation home, it helps kids like my grandson have swimming lessons, it pays someones dentist bill, it puts heathy food on someone’s table. It helps someone have the means to have those little things that matter!

@@aleejjj I have no idea about spicy, maybe Hope just couldn't find the right word to describe it. It is not spicy at all it's just regular sunflower halva, very sweet, very oily. Maybe for people who never had halva in their live it's just tastes unusual and there is nothing similar to describe it as

And what are the main flavors of ur halva?
Here the most popular ones are cardamom,rose water, saffron.
We have two main types of halva actually,
One, with tahini as its base, which looks like the chunks of chalk, likes the one she ate;
Two, flour as its base in flavors that i mentioned u above.
But there is no spicy type what so ever(which sounds gross honestly)

Those are not Belarusian candies, but they are popular in that part of Europe. Also, I doubt you would visit Belarus, as it is involved in the war between Russia and Ukraine and they are on the Russian side. Lots of political drama there right now - shouldn't support them.
