My husband and I strive to have a very Biblical marriage. My husband is the financial provider & I stay home. Part of my staying home role is stewarding our finances properly! A lot of people think it’s odd, but there’s already a lot of responsibility on my husband’s shoulders, so for him it is actually very relieving that he doesn’t have to worry about what’s happening with the money & he knows everything is getting taken care of. Operating as a team and as a whole is still very important, so we still consult each other on everything. But I have seen and believe that actually for most men, it’s much easier if they solely financially provide, that the wife manages the finances. Because that is a whole other job on top of regular things. It does take a lot of practice being basically a bookkeeper, but finances is part of keeping the home. And I’m so grateful that I can help bring peace to my husband.

Your content always helps me know it’s going to be okay. My 6 month old doesn’t sleep great and that’s really been a struggle. The Lord’s blessings are amazing ❤

Literally you went through exact life changes with me like buying our first homes and we actually had our babies couple weeks apart my both boys are really close in age to yours. As you were talking about discipline this verse came to mind. “Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness.” How it says “as it seemed best to them” stuck out to me :)
Agreed!! When I said “what’s best for them” I really mean long term. Like what is going to teach them what they need to be taught and point them in the right direction! Not so much “what’s comfortable” for them if you get what I’m saying. Thank you for this!😊
