I have such fond memories of the house my family lived in, in Washington state. My room was downstairs across from what was supposed to be a den I think. It had a wood burning pellet stove, and when my door was open the glow and the flickering from the fire was so cozy and reassuring and warm.. I would just stare at it until I fell asleep. Man I miss that feeling.

I'm so glad to give my kids that feeling! They keep asking to sleep in the living room because it is so peaceful 😊 Thank you for sharing such a sweet memory.

My son and I moved to Washington State. We live off-grid and use a wood burning stove. We love it.

A great example of spend time to save money or spend money to save time. my house is from the 1850s so I already had two chimneys so It only cost me about $500 for a used wood fired furnace and some pipe that sit right beside my oil furnace. pulse $150 walmart chainsaw

Yep! While we're young and able, we plan on physically working to save money whenever possible. We love the wood heat so far!
