This was an amazing video idea! I take myself as one who pays attention to my clothing, vacillate between different looks depending on the occasion, and as a result often think of the appropriate fragrances to pair them with. And for you to have come with a video that answers to this, is in fact ingenuity. I'd do more, focusing on other looks, and other fragrances than the ones you've mentioned here. And the fact you highlighted Terre d'Hermes makes it an even better win as it's my main fragrance at the moment. Keep up the amazing work!
A great video! Thank you. Okay, so a simple hack for anyone with more than 2 fragrances and in line with the intro in this video. As background, I have around 150-200 now, collected over many years and most go months without use however, all get smelled. 1) Put on the clothes for the day or look at a photo of yourself previously looking/styled the way you will on the day. 2) Take out a few or as many bottles of fragrances that you want to test. 3) Smell the top of the bottle/atomiser and inside the bottle top simultaneously whilst looking at yourself in the mirror and imagining yourself in the location you will be. 4) spray on what YOU think works best with that and go out confident that you know you have made your signature style. This will change the game. These general rule videos are amazingly helpful and guide you not to make serious mistakes. Nobody wants to smell Eros at a funeral right? However, if you know how you want to present yourself, this method will make it easy. For example: Today, I am wearing Sauvage (lightly sprayed) at the gym. Also, I am off to Mykonos for a family holiday right now. I have chosen Creed Vetiver for the day and Guerlain L'Homme Ideal for the night based on how I am likely to dress and the place I am going at the time of year. Now who's going to be able to recommend those fragrances for me, my age, style, location and occasion. Only me. Do what suits YOU and make this your art. Scent creation is a science however this part is all you.
Business casual was spot on, I use Mancera Cedrat Boise which does resemble Aventus but does not copy it. I have the newer batch 2021, performance actually varies drastically with the weather being beastmode in the heat and not so impressive in the cold. Another good Business casual is Cool water for those who like a throw back feel. For formal I use Valentino Uomo intense. For Black tie, Dior Homme Parfum. Both are super beastmode :)
Honestly, I constructed my minimalist fragrance collection based on different outfits. Only 5 scents. T-Shirt, Suit, Lumberjack, Sweater, Out of the box. Covers pretty much everything I need. TdH was also my pick for smart wear.

Ok I wear Terre d'Hermes edp to the office, to the gym, when I do groceries, pretty much everywhere all the time. I picked up a travel set at a local perfume store and I think it's the most versatile and balanced perfume I've ever had.
Working in banking and I use Terre D‘Hermes as my signature scent, for the office I wear Prada L‘homme though since I feel like yterre D‘Hermes is such an attention grabber that it‘s difficult to wear when not operating on a manager/executive level. I am 20 years old so maybe age is also a contributing factor. Still definitely recommend buying it probably my best parfum buy so far
I just tested bohemian lime and i really like it. Its a pretty simple scent, basically Lime and Vetiver, but so well done. The lime is besides mfks aqua celestia the best one i experienced so far.
Indeed. It’s a very juicy lime! Another scent of equal quality citrus (if not better) is Xerjoff Renaissance, where citrus zest and fresh picked mint are the primary focus… having a soft woodsy base of cedar and a touch of florals… it’s quite amazing. On a budget, 78 Vintage Green by Banana Republic is great, too!
@@Jtdubbzz yea i really like renaissance. I still dont know if i should buy the renaissance or the new torino21 for the coming summer months. Renaissance is beautifully sophisticated and smooth, and scentwise i prefer it over the torino. But the torino is more casual and more of a pure "freshie" scent
Well, I ride a motorcycle and often wear boots, jeans and a tshirt with a leather jacket and gloves… not because I’m “trying hard” but because I love riding and wearing boots and a leather jacket (protective layers) are must haves considering you need durable footwear to best handle shifting your clutch and brake pedal and to not burn your ankles on the pipping hot exhaust pipe, they feel most stable on the road and protect you from the elements (rain, cold temps, rocks, etc.) considering there is nothing between you and the road, like a bicycle. A nice leather jacket is to help protect your skin if you were to take a spill on the road going 70mph and prevent road-rash and because it blocks the wind, which is much needed when the temp on a bike on a cool 70° night can often feel like 40° going 60mph. A tshirt, heenley or a hoodie is for your own comfort under your jacket based on the weather and Levi’s or a good pair of denim jeans also help protect you on the road, and when they are more slim fit they don’t flap in the wind. They are often oil stained from my bike or when it rains the oil from the road splashes all up my legs. That’s why it’s best to pull over for a bit when it starts raining because it starts washing the oil off the road creating very slick road conditions, like ice. Sure, maybe that all comes off as “cool guy” or “try hard” you can view it as you like, but I figured I’d just point out there is a reason we dress as we do and more often than not that’s just what we have in our closet when not riding or what we feel most comfortable in. But, there’s a time and place… like most things, you should dress the part.
Great content as always Omar. I think blue genre (now mainly ambroxan based) suit for casual style and also when u use some classic elements of wardrobe to it (the white shirt for example) But something like elegant aromatic fougere summer alternative - Tom For for men suits more to shirt definitely than sporty casual vibe.
I accidentally left a bottle of Versace Eros edp and aqua di gio Profumo in my car on a hot day for around 5 hours but it wasn’t exposed to sunlight. Will my fragrances be fine
Could you do a video on The meaning of EDP ,EDT the difference. Also what they do to Cost, Projection, longevity and whatever else we should know in this Category.. 🙏🏽😉
What fragrance would you recommend for everyday use? Currently I'm looking at YSL Y or Prada Carbon but haven't smelt them yet, im 18 and live in Australia so usually hotter weather than cool, thanks
So let me get this straight: it's risky swapping/selling fragrances online with strangers if met through facebook communities that don't cost anything, but not risky swapping/selling fragrances online with strangers if met through a group where everyone gives $3 each month to you?
I'm trying to get my hands on *Wolf* by The Wolf Brothers Wild Slavic Fragrances. Looks really good they're quite new too, 2-3 years old from Poland. Wanna show my support, they look like my style too, dark woodsy, foresty, mysterious and evocative. Interesting and fascinating just the way I like it.
Omar! I live in Malaysia but honestly you have been my favourite and intelligent perfume reviewer. I would like to see more reviews on perfumes like Stronger with you leather, Arabian leather from the house of Arabian Oud which is excellent and common here in Malaysia
