- This is a podcast interview with $4.75 million dollar lottery winners Denise Banks-Wilson and Calvin Wilson. They won the Illinois state lottery in 2017.

Congratulations, I am happy for you both.I believe I am also going to be a lottery winner. I also want to live my life like I live it now want to be anonymous, stay to myself.
So, it wasn't lottery, but local raffles.... Last year at this time I won $2640 on a 50/50 draw. I invested the money and doubled it and have since given away that same amount. This year I won a $26,400 prize. While it is a prize and not money, the dollar figure being 10 times is pretty amazing. What you give out you get back ten fold.... :) Do good deeds from the heart people!

When I WIN! Pay off student loans in FULL! Restore my grandparents 🏠. Purchase a home 🏡 💕! Set up a family trust. Give to foster children foundations.

"If we don't know you well enough to know your situation, you don't know us well enough to ask for money." That is gold right there. That's how you draw a boundary line.
On the tax issue, I suspect if you are poor, you pay less up front, but you would owe more when you file. I think it all comes out the same in the end.
Yes, that is an excellent quote and way of thinking. In regards to taxes, they were explaining that where they won, it is based off of your tax bracket. For example, if you earn less per year than someone else prior to winning, you will be taxed less. Regardless, you're right in that it's a very large tax in the USA if you win. @@TimothySchultz BTW, hiding the ticket under the mattress isn't the best choice. I'm not trusting of safe deposit boxes, either, because they are not insured by the bank and they can be stolen from, though it's rare.
My house was broken into four years ago, and they DID look under the mattress!

Yea they seem like a very nice couple. Only advise, once in your pocket, don't keep opening it, your hands might get nervous, accidentally tear it, spill coffee on it. Once it's in your wallet, closed, its there

I have a rule- I only give to people who do NOT ask. Also open yourself to receive. I was a people pleaser all my life and now that I have self esteem things have changed. You don't have to wait for the lottery in order to give, just do it.

Listening to this interview was like listening to my voice memo to myself about what I will do when I win the lottery. I spoke about the meeting with the financial adviser I already chose, the paying off of the debts first, then the meeting with the contractor to build our dream home. I also listed what would change about me which would be how much more relaxed I would be from the relief of being financially free. I loved this one.💜💜💜 They are a level headed couple and their lifestyle of shopping the same places is exactly how I see myself as well

Amazing interview. Me and my husband married and struggled in the beginning with no help. We watched family get hundreds of thousands and shopped,partied. We were happy for them. We’re now excellent. Money not an object no car loans,debt, retired. I like my 👜, sold my Lexus. I love my Toyota Corolla 💕 Humble, give to the Catholic Church, Very Generous when we go out to Dinner,Breakfast,Lunch (tipping)I’ve gone through guilt, I’ve prayed over the feelings of guilt. I need to be thankful.take care everyone.

When I saw her name, I kept saying I know that name from somewhere. It was the Lottery Dreamhouse TV show. That was one of my favorite episodes. That is when I started playing the lottery again. I love their spirit and they haven't changed since winning the lottery. I really enjoyed this interview with them.

I smiled during most of my viewing. You seem to know how to ask the questions we want to know - and I like how you ended it asking them if there was something they wanted to add you may have overlooked - BRILLIANT strategy! This was one of the best interviews yet - so thorough - and their down-to-earth energy is mesmerizing . . . she was excited to upgrade from Walmart to Target - a woman after my own heart.
The Great thing about Illinois is they have now adopted the option of non-disclosure for lottery winners. when I win the lottery, I'll continue to work for a year and then consider my options on retirement. Tim, I love what you do great Job!!!!! 👍👍

Personally I play pick 10 lottery and cash 4 life and sometimes the take 5 lottery I be happy to win $500,000.00 in pick 10 lottery or $1,000.00 a week for life in cash 4 life or $40,000.00 in take 5 lottery I be happy with$2million dollars jackpot in power balls power play I could still do something with any of those amounts like a small business like vending machine business food cart business or even a small News stand's business then spend 10 years building it up then frenchise the business to make more money 🤑💰

I watched this video and I prayed about it I had a gut feeling come up inside my stomach after I prayed then after a few minutes I felt as if the lord gave me conserment and I was at peace I have been praying for a financial miracle in my life so I can help my daughter and her husband get their home finished built and be able to get my son a car so he can get to work without someone having to take him I pray I will win the Saturday night powerball I give god all the gratitude and praises for his glory ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
