Repotting

  • Both of my Rhipsalis plants were starting to outgrow their pots, so I decided to report them into hanging baskets. The botanical names for both of these plants are Rhipsalis cereuscula aka coral cactus and Rhipsalis teres f. heteroclada. Rhipsalis belongs to the cactus family and they are epiphytic. Rhipsalis are not drought tolerant and they do need to be watered regularly. If you plan to grown them outdoors, they need filtered shade. It is best to keep them out of the hot afternoon sun. If grown indoors, keep them in bright light. In this video you will also see me transplanting my Calla Lilly in the ground.
